Rive CLI concept console menu, inspired by the epic OG Xbox. We encourage you to think bigger about what can be built with Rive. You can create experiences that break out of typical paginated/scrolling UI, with a mixture of vector and 3D graphics, all in one fluid scene. This... show more

@rive_app Maybe with this, we will finally see the end of generic flat UI and finally return to the mid-2000s, where UI was cool.

@rive_app So ready for it. I think we can take it even further! In the future they’ll talk about the late 2020s like we talk about the mid 2000s

@rive_app We just need more creativity. Things have become streamlined, and game UI is treated like OS UI, which have very different goals, And modern tools lean into facilitating this OS look, which is one of the reasons Rive excites me so much and makes me appreciate middleware.

would love to get the Xbox team playing with Rive!

opus 5.5 is excellent with the Rive CLI. Have an even better project coming soon

@aloisdeniel @rive_app It’s the biggest gift you guys gave us it’s really powerful that I’m still scratching what’s possible with rive cli

@aloisdeniel @rive_app Thanks Jerry, you’ve been building some awesome stuff with it! Are you entering out Halloween challenge? You should!

@aloisdeniel @rive_app Thank you so much Guido, I still am even though it’s kinda tight deadline for me right now

@rive_app how are you getting the 3D stuff into existence? I get the UI-Rive centric parts of it.. but I don't understand where the actual 3D stuff is being generated and "added into" Rive's renderer.. for lack of better phrasing 😅

@rive_app Opus 5.5 created the 3d models and wrote the scripts to load them with Rive's GPU Canvas

@rive_app superb! so opus writes basic 3d models (assuming .gltf files?) and then all the texturing, shading, animations etc are done within Rive's GPU Canvas?

@guidorosso @rive_app You can use any format you want as long you can write a decoder for it in our scripting language. We have an in-house port of Draco we use, we'll be making it publicly available as soon as our public libraries feature is out.

@guidorosso @rive_app thanks both of you for the clarifications! with all this new stuff, I have some ideas on using Rive as an embedded runtime for an interactive media engine I'm building. will take it out for spin! 🥂

@drawsgood @rive_app Just curious, how much prompting did it take you to get to this? How much of this did you start with?

@drawsgood @rive_app Started last night with the Rive logo and the brand guidelines.

@drawsgood @rive_app Btw worth pointing out that you can give the CLI multiple Rive files as a starting point. It can easily merge components from various Rive files for you, which is a huge time saver on its own!

@Gbowden25 @drawsgood @rive_app Just put the .rev in the project folder?

@Gbowden25 @drawsgood @rive_app Yep or just drag and drop to the agent, like in Codex or Claude Code

@rive_app Wow incredible!

@rive_app impressive

@rive_app Crazzzyyyy

@rive_app I've been banned from the Rive discord and reddit because of this, but I firmly believe that this AI first approach will really hurt Rive. Don't try to race with the big boys, instead lean into the hand crafted artists and give people masking before fancy 3D AI slop.

@rive_app Curious, Can i build this in rive without prompting though?

@rive_app Of course, all the features are available in the editor too

@LauKitton @rive_app This is amazing !

@LauKitton @rive_app Thanks Frederik! Try it out!

@rive_app Mister the problem is how, release some tutorials or something, Rive advances so fast is hard to keep up 😄

@rive_app Is the Opus 5.5 in Rive’s early access the same as Claude’s ? But do we need to upgrade by purchasing another plan, considering we’re in early access and we’ve already got the right Opus 5.5 ? This could also help me build applications using, for example, Rive CLI

@rive_app rive has a gpu canvas, ok interesting, so how would that compare to using something like flutter_scene, which loads 3d scenes on GPU? Im having some performance issue on web with flutter scene, but i use rive for the UI.
