People often ask if Rive is a design tool, an animation tool, or a competitor to Figma, After Effects, or Lottie. It’s none of those. Rive is a new way to design, build, and ship user interfaces with animation. It combines an interactive design tool, a new stateful graphics... show more

🚀 Data Binding in Rive is now live for all users. It gives you powerful new ways to design, build, and animate with data — making it easy to ship complex user interfaces without a complicated handoff process.

Looking for a few indie devs to push what’s possible with Rive Scripting 🚀 UI, games, companion apps, full experiences, or any weird interactive idea you’ve been itching to build. If you love mixing design, animation, and code (and maybe have a soft spot for Flash), DM me.

UI/UX Designers, I just found an AI tool that’s a game-changer for prototyping and design speed. Readdy (Readdy) helps you design, prototype, and refine interfaces faster than ever. Unlike other AI coding tools like v0 or Lovable, Readdy is built for designers to deliver high-quality UIs and understand feedback like a pro. Website →

2. Build interactive tools and apps without code Describe your idea and Grok scaffolds the UI, logic, and deployment steps no coding required. Prompt: "You are a senior software architect who excels at building no-code and low-code systems with HTML, JavaScript, and Web APIs. Task Design a fully working interactive tool based on this idea: [DESCRIBE YOUR TOOL IDEA] Deliverables 1. A plain-English explanation of how the tool works. 2. A step-by-step plan to implement it with Grok or a no-code platform. 3. Exact HTML/CSS/JS code if relevant. 4. UX and design improvement tips. 5. Instructions to generate a shareable, embed-ready version. Imagine you are shipping an MVP for a startup demo. "

Why is Scripting + AI Agent a big deal for Designers? I built a full Road Fighter inspired game in Rive with zero coding experience. AI assists with scripting, it doesn’t take over creative control. Design and animation stay 100% yours, empowering creatives to build games, experiences, and tools that weren’t possible before. 🚀🚀

Designers, do you know that you can now turn your Figma design into an interactive prototype 10x faster without prototyping manually. Figma Make is a new AI-powered prompt-to-app tool that transforms designs and ideas into clickable prototypes in minutes. It’s made for designers, builders, and non-technical founders who want to move fast. Bookmark it for later 💜

Thoughts on transferable skills. I was surprised reading the comments to Riley’s question about best UI animation tool for web. To anyone interested in diving into motion design I would strongly recommend - aim to become a motion expert, not Jitter/Rive/Lottie specialist. If you start from the foundations, jumping into any animation tool will feel like a walk in the park. Keyframes, easing functions, transformations - same concepts are shared between all of them. Getting to know the foundations on the web means starting with CSS, Tailwind or React Motion. I’m often creating small motion concepts in Figma (see video) and then recreating them manually in code. Any language, it doesn’t matter because principles are the same. I recently made the switch to Swift and built a small animation tool for myself (see video) that I’ll discard after I’m done with the motion. This level of comfortableness with motion gives you unmatched flexibility. From that point, tools are just interfaces for expressing something you already deeply understand. This is not about performance or technical optimizations (Lottie files can outperform CSS equivalents), tools mentioned above really are great - it’s about developing transferable creative skill that lets you think across any medium, platform or tool.

Gave Gemini 3 Deep Think an image of a 3D spider web and asked for an interactive design tool. It generated a full design suite (procedural control, simulation, optimization) with STL export capability. I used it to engineer new metamaterials and a spider-web inspired bridge design, 3D printed it, then validated the structural integrity with a NVIDIA DGX Spark load test. A mind-blowing example of the future of material and architecture design - image in, fabrication-ready design out! Google Gemini

Another view of this, built with the Rive CLI. Rive now has a text-based format, so agents can write Rive files directly. That makes Rive the best format for agents to build interactive experiences that run on web, mobile, consoles and vehicle hardware natively.

You've probably used design systems in tools like Figma or Canva. Capsule is the first product to combine the concept of design systems with a video tool that's so easy anyone can do it. Loved by teams at Hubspot, Apollo, ServiceNow, and 100+ more.

Releasing a few quality of life Figma Draw updates today → New brush & texture updates (gradients, eyedropper, and noise controls) → Dedicated text on a path tool (or drag on an empty canvas to create text on a circle) → Separate text and vector into independent layers Plus, we pulled a few features over from Design to make it easier to access → New layers panel icons → Auto layout directly in Draw

figma "god mode" just leaked.. this week i tried the future of autonomous design: claude connected directly to the figma api with full edit access.. yes it can design in figma what does it mean? you prompt, it designs. it’s like having a team of designers inside figma working with you and 10x ing your capacity why is this different? official figma ai/mcp only "reads" files to help devs. this tool (unofficial MCP) "writes" in figma to replace manual labor. hours of grinding turned into seconds of waiting imagine this: - prompt to design: generate a new screen based on your design or not - prompt to flow: generate end to end user journeys - iteration: create multiple variations in one click - design system: it can use your components to create new screens - zero click management: auto layout, component creation, deduplication handled by prompt - universal control: if you can do it in figma, it can do it for you the impact if figma officially releases this, almost every existing plugin becomes obsolete overnight it feels like figma on steroids. i’m still processing whether i feel empowered or replaced full tutorial in this article from Mark A. Cianfrani. handle with care: ai will have access to everything in figma »
