Two deputies have been medevaced to Tampa General Hospital after being shot. The suspect was also shot and is being transported to the hospital. Boulder Canyon Closed Due to Rock Slide Boulder Canyon is currently closed in both directions due to a rock slide near the 33.3 mile marker, just below Boulder Falls. The road is shut down at the top of the canyon at Hurricane Hill and at the base of the canyon. The Colorado Department of Transportation is en route to assess the scene. PAUL, MN - Viewers Discretion Advised: Around 2:35 PM, St. Paul Fire and Minnesota State Patrol were called to a serious multi-vehicle crash on northbound Highway 52 just before Plato Blvd. Northbound Highway 52 is closed and being diverted onto the East Lafayette Frontage Road. We have reached out to Minnesota State Patrol who is currently investigating the crash. We will provide an update once more information is made available.

My very first FSD (Supervised) drive in Denmark 🇩🇰🥳 A lot of interesting scenarios emerged on my very first trip behind the wheel of FSD 😂 98% of the time it performed flawlessly and comfortably! But there were a few times I had to take over 🕹️ Main issue seems to be that it does not read/understand "No entry" signs ⛔️ BUT! It perfectly handled blocked roads due to road construction twice 🚧 My own car is HW3 and Anne Lundov's HW4 car has not received the update yet, so I was forced to take a Test drive instead 😆 Enjoy! 🤗

The flood sirens have gone off in the Upper Valley this afternoon due to a combination of heavy rain and snow melt. I have spoken to the Environment Agency and Calderdale Council. Current predictions suggest it is likely to get worse until about 3:30 – 4:00pm and then ease. This is being monitored and I'll update as the day progresses. There is surface water flooding on Halifax Road at Eastwood where a crew are working to unblock drains, surface water flooding at Callis where the road is closed, and a flood warning in Walsden. Other areas including Hebden Bridge, Mytholmroyd, and Todmorden are under flood alerts and teams are out clearing drains. Please avoid travelling to these areas. Residents should put up flood defences if possible. You can get flooding updates on or the Environment Agency website. Flood wardens also update on a number of local Facebook pages including Todmorden Flood Group and Hebden Bridge Flood Action Group. We are at the frontline of climate shocks here in Calder Valley. Rest assured I will continue to raise the issues we face with flooding at the highest levels of government.

The preliminary investigation indicates that one of the vehicles involved struck a curb at the traffic signal before leaving the roadway and striking the victim, who was waiting at a nearby bus stop. The adult male victim was pronounced dead at the scene. A second person was transported to a local hospital with injuries. The Metropolitan Police Department’s Major Crash Unit is leading the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash. Charlotte Fire Responds to Three-Alarm Fire on East Morehead Street This morning, Charlotte Fire responded to a significant fire at a building located in the 300 block of East Morehead Street. At 7:47 a.m., Charlotte Fire Comms Charlotte Fire Alarm received a report of heavy smoke at the address. Firefighters were immediately dispatched, with the first unit en route by 7:48 a.m. At 7:51 a.m., Ladder 4, Engine 11, Engine 4, and Engine 2 arrived on scene. Engine 2 assumed initial command of the incident. Upon arrival, Ladder 4 reported heavy fire conditions in the basement of the structure. Additional fire apparatus were dispatched to support the response. At 7:56 a.m., Battalion 1 assumed command and escalated the response to a second alarm at 7:57 a.m. As conditions worsened, Car 7 took command at 8:01 a.m. At 8:02 a.m., an evacuation tone was sounded, instructing firefighters to exit the structure due to safety concerns. By 8:04 a.m., a roof collapse was imminent, and at 8:30 a.m., the structural integrity of the walls was also compromised. A third alarm was struck at 8:42 a.m., bringing additional resources to the scene. After an intense firefighting operation, the fire was brought under control at 10:23 a.m. There were no reported injuries to civilians or firefighters. “The dedication and quick action of our firefighters prevented what could have been a far worse outcome,” said Charlotte Fire Chief Reginald Johnson. “Their ability to make decisive, tactical decisions under extreme conditions speaks to their training and professionalism. September Incident - Morning Incident Update The San Bernardino County Fire Protection District remains in unified command with CAL FIRE BDU on the September Incident. Overnight, crews remained committed to the incident. At this time, there are still no reported injuries or missing persons. We would like to thank all of our cooperating agencies for the strong collaborative effort demonstrated throughout this operation. Last night, Caltrans District 8 worked diligently to clear Highway 38, providing access to those who had been stranded on Highway 38. At this time, no known motorists remain stranded; however, assessment teams and field crews are continuing to search the area to ensure no other parties are in need of assistance. CAL FIRE, CHP Inland Division, SBCoPublicWorks, and other partners remain engaged in clearing roads and improving access. The SBCounty, San Bernardino County OES (Ready San Bernardino County) and California OES (California Governor's Office of Emergency Services) are also closely involved, and we are grateful for their early support in helping to accelerate the recovery process. With daylight, crews will gain a clearer picture of the full extent of damage to roads, infrastructure, and homes. San Bernardino County Fire’s Damage Assessment Team, along with San Bernardino County Building & Safety, will work throughout the day evaluating impacted structures and will assist in determining the extent of property loss.
