The Cancellation of Julius Berger Projects Was Done Transparently - Umahi We had the Abuja-Kaduna-Kano Road project, where 480km out of 700km was done by Julius Berger in 8 years at a cost of N393 billion. When we assumed office we went into 14 months of negotiations to complete the road. While we acknowledge the impact of fuel subsidy removal, we couldn't justify Julius Berger's demand for N1.1 trillion to complete the road. Today, the project is being executed for about N800 billion, using reinforced concrete, and we've added 10km to the project scope, incorporating solar panels.
