Rob Reiner tells the story of how he nearly peed in his pants when John Gotti, Boss of the Gambino crime family, quoted the famous lines by Inigo Montoya in "The Princess Bride" (1987) to him: "I’m going to tell you a great story about Inigo Montoya’s famous line, “My name is Inigo Montoya. You ki!!ed my father. Prepare to d!e." I went to dinner one night many years ago with Nora Ephron, who wrote 'When Harry Met Sally' (1989), and Nick Pellegi, who wrote 'Goodfellas' (1990). They took me to this restaurant that was frequented by John Gotti. Gotti supposedly came to this restaurant every Thursday night. Sure enough, at eight o’clock in walks John Gotti with a bunch of wiseguys and they sit down at a nearby table. Now, we finish the meal, and I walk outside and there’s John Gotti’s limo and this guy that looks like Luca Brasi from 'The Godfather' (1972) is standing there. He looks at me and he goes, “Prepare to d!e.” Oh, god! I almost went in my pants. He says, “I seen the Princess Bride. Great movie, great movie!” He was quoting a line from The Princess Bride.
