I wonder if the earth is indeed a globe but at the same time we are enclosed by and ice wall on this side of the globe? Perhaps the globe is so much more massive than they tell us and we’ve never seen the other side because it’s all arctic? This would in turn make why pilots also believe it’s flat. If the globe was so massive that our known, Landes were all on a small part of that globe, it would seem fairly flat.
