GSDs are incredibly friendly family dogs. They are incredibly intelligent, very powerful, and Olympic class athletes. They love their people and will protect them and their house. My GSDs will never let me enter a room before them. They always are first in to check before me. They know someone is coming towards the door well before they get on the porch. Those ears are like radar dishes and their nose never fails. A robber opens that door and they are about to meet 100 pounds of really bad karma.

You forgot the Kangal.

The golden retriever at Lot 4 would invite the robber in, offer him coffee, and help load the truck. Three complaints filed on that dog. None of them were security-related.

You forgot the one that makes the angels of death squat and pee. The blue heeler. My boy say a gray wolf headed towards me. Quill got between me and the wolf. He squared up and started advancing. Now he gave up 2/3 weight to the wolf but it was just to make things interesting.
