Roblox is hiding behind press releases and superficial safety measures while predators are openly grooming and targeting children on its platform. As our criminal investigation continues, we filed a lawsuit to hold Roblox accountable for misrepresenting the platform’s safety.

In 2024, I got a Roblox predator in Polk County Florida, arrested. He was later convicted on CSAM charges. This year Roblox sent me a cease and desist, threatening to sue me for computer fraud because I was reporting these cases to police before the platform among other things.

So glad I stand firm about keeping Roblox out of my house.

Roblox needs to stop hiding behind corporate speak and policies they implemented when they have known about these issues for many years, they just wanted to silence anyone who had a big enough voice to reach people. Now since this, they are pushing all kinds of "safety" updates that just make it easier for predators to talk to kids exclusively or make it harder to find predators on the platform. 2 Examples of these updates are: 1. Their age chat restriction recent update where predators can no just use AI to get their account to a kids age to exclusively be in servers with kids where other normal adults couldn't be or see the conversations, and if they are in their server they wont see what is being said to stop and report predators since kids are too gullible to notice when someone is being truly creepy or grooming them. And it makes it so predators get into servers exclusively with children and this update also sorta forces kids to go to other platforms from Roblox to speak to people. 2. Their new update that allows group owners to hide their member lists from non-members. believe the true purpose of this is to hide predator condo groups to stop people from seeing all the predators on the member list to report them and keep them hidden so the general public can't do anything about it or see it. There was literally no reason for this update and they marketed the update as a privacy focused update that no one asked for, it doesn't really do anything other than protect predator condo groups. Which Roblox seems to want to hide those from the public in my opinion. People are too gullible to think they are actually doing this to make the platform safe. It's sad that I one day wanted to work for Roblox but as a parent who has seen their actions and what they prioritize, I will never work for this company.

Any micro-transactions video game or mobile app that allows adults to purchase digital gifts for minors, will be abused by adults grooming children, pressuring literal tit-for-tat for buying your daughter the in-game cat ears and glowing sword that can only be purchased by credit card.

These issues are truly the only issues that concern me. Destroy a generation and you destroy a society. Parents are no longer watching childs activity online. Huge mistake. Federal oversight is appropriate.

I use Roblox every week and have yet to have any problems with bad actors or predators. It seems to have better protections than just about any other app or website.
