I'd say that now it is possible to create a path forward, but one needs to really commit. You could imagine a gradual path of improvement where you build more robots, they do more things, you collect more data and so on. But you need to really love robots and need to be really willing to solve all the physical and logistical problems of dealing with them. It's not the same as software at all."

My whole company runs on skills I bundled into a GitHub repo. Here's how to build the same thing for your team: - Put your skills in a GitHub repo - Get Claude to write the couple of JSON files that make it readable as a plugin - In Claude Code, type /plugin, go to marketplaces, add marketplace, paste your repo URL - Split the plugins by department, so your copywriter isn't installing the finance skills It works in Codex too. I've got the same team skills installed there and I use them the same way. Now when I build something like my Notion formatting skill, I add it to the repo and it lands on everyone's Claude and Codex. If someone wrecks a skill, we roll it back to an older version. The key is enabling auto-update, so when someone improves a skill everyone benefits. I don't have a clue how the JSON works. I got Claude to set the whole thing up for me. Start with one skill and before you know it your whole team will be AI pilled.

Some will already know this, but William Gibson collaborated with the Japanese workwear brand Buzz Rickson about 20 years ago to create a line of military-inspired garments. As far as I know, the line has stayed totally the same — same material, same details, same cuts — even as fashion trends have moved from full to slim and back to full again. How great is it that you could have saved up and splurged on a really nice garment 20 years ago, and if you went to the same store today, it would be totally the same? There's no pressure to "update" your wardrobe. No feeling like you might miss out on the latest drop. If you lose the jacket, you can go to the store and get the same one, even two decades later. There's something special about having that kind of confidence in your aesthetic. Also, not pressuring people to constantly buy buy buy. They purchase one nice thing and wear it for years. Should they decide the garment is not for them, guess what? They can sell it on the second-hand market for about 50% of what they paid because retailers are still selling the same thing. That fashion model is very inspiring to me. Plus, the stuff looks great. The videos below are from the wonderful London-based shop Son of Stag.
