Another day, another mass shooting with an AR-15. This is becoming too commonplace in America. This time at a Dollar General in Jacksonville, Florida. No, we don't need to "take your guns" in order to help stop this problem. As a nation we need to come to the table and agree to some common sense reforms. Yesterday, Tennessee Rep Justin Jones said: "We’ve spent the whole week here in special session and I’ve heard my Republican colleagues tell us that there is no issue of gun violence, and just making excuses. To be honest Jim, I’m frustrated, I’m emotional right now because America should be tired of this. "This is madness and we don’t have to live this way. And to see three precious black lives taken in a state where we have an asinine governor attacking black people — attacking black history — and then you have people making excuses, saying its not a gun issue when he had an AR-15. "I mean other nations have hate, but we’re the only that keeps having mass shootings because because of policy decisions. And we don’t have to live this way. We don’t have to live this way anymore. "Whether it’s a school in Nashville or whether it’s a Dollar General in Jacksonville, FL, this terrorism that we’re living under is a policy choice being made to appease extremists and the gun lobby. We need to call it out for what it is and we need to change this nation so that we can live free of this anxiety and terror and trauma." I’m TIRED of these liberals preaching division every single day… telling Black folks that White people are our enemy… telling us we’re oppressed, and we need to hate. But here’s the kicker.. they go home, live in White neighborhoods, send their kids to White schools, marry White spouses, and party with the very people they tell you to despise. That’s not leadership, that’s manipulation. That’s stoking a civil war while they sit cozy on the sidelines. While blue-state leftists lecture the South on redrawing congressional maps in adherence to the recent Supreme Court ruling, remember most of them only live in a theoretical world in which they never actually exist among black people. The majority of them are arguing blindly for people who they see as pets in need of a white savior, not people. It’s not racist to treat black Americans the same as their white counterparts. This Alabamian’s description of living in the West and North around white progressives sums up their attitudes perfectly: “The thing that shocked me the most is how segregated they are. … The white people out there, they don’t talk to y’all like people. They don’t interact with people of color that much. When they do interact with them, it’s very weird the way they talk to them [like they’re not a person].” This is why leftists think black people need gerrymandered districts. They live in a segregated world. They can’t fathom the fact that black and white Southerners are much more likely to, and in many cases do, live in integrated communities. Our reality is a foreign concept for them. Ignore their tantrums, Republicans. They speak about things with which they don’t understand.
