BREAKING: Gov. Ron DeSantis has just signed a bill blocking kids from social media websites. House Bill 3 forbids kids 13 and younger from creating social media accounts and requires the platforms to seek out and remove their profiles. Call me crazy but I thought that Republicans were for "Parental rights", and was the party of "little government". I thought they were for "First Amendment rights". I'm against this new law because Parents should decide what's best for their kids, not politicians.

I am really sorry, kids…I was so wrong to think this reel generation didn’t know or care about what’s happening to their country. I am so happy to be proven wrong. You are truly the hope this great nation needs. So intelligent, thoughtful and respectful. No violence, no vandalism, no attempt to show strength through numbers…just the courage to stand up for what you believe in. Mad respect to every one of you who joined this protest. Go, kids. This family was at the beach. They got there early and set up in front so they could watch their kids play in the water. Then this family shows up and they set up in front of them. 🤯 There was no one to the left or the right of them. Clear as could be. 😳 A lot of people said they should have moved closer so no one could set up in front of them. But many others said if the beach was open and there was no one to the left or right of them then that is just plain rude. I always leave a little sand in front in case my kids want to play or we usually throw our boogie boards in front. I’d have been irritated and would have asked them to move. 💯 What do you think? Was it rude of the second family to take their view away and set up in front of them or is it the first family’s fault for not setting up closer so no one could be in front of them?

Forcing kids to read things they hate just simply doesn’t work. Our reading philosophy at Alpha is simple: kids learn to love reading by reading what they love. Sure, it’s important for kids to be exposed to classic literature. But being forced to read highbrow literature as a young teen is often the very thing that makes kids hate reading in the first place. Many of them never bother picking up a novel again. If the goal is to have students fall in love with reading and become life-long readers, then we should cater the material to their interests. Whether it’s comic-books, books about insects, or a biography on the Kardashians, there has to be a better way. We built our own app called Teach Tales to solve this problem.

They’re literally waiting for people to get killed to actually respond. Squad 261 came by and literally did nothing about it. It took multiple calls to 911 to get them to even show up. The kids are starting to come back and the people that I’m with don’t think the kids are done."

One last stop in #bali to surprise a community that was in need of a new school with the BIG news that Lance Breitstein 🇺🇸🌎 has donated a new school for them and construction will begin this month and will be finished in a few months! Until now, these kids have sadly not had a place to learn, they just used some extra space in the community center which has been FAR from ideal -- thanks to Lance's generosity, they'll soon have their own school to learn in later this year! Everyone please retweet this and join me in thanking Lance for his donation as this will be his 3rd Karmagawa school and if we get 200+ retweets, he's promised me he'll actually come to Bali and visit these kids in person!!!
