I asked Leslie Iwerks about her favorite scene in 'Disneyland Handcrafted,' and she pointed to a moment showing workers pulling the Mark Twain that captures both the difficulty of building Disneyland and Walt's determination to make it happen. "My favorite scene is the guys pulling the Mark Twain. Who knows exactly what the issue was, but they were all trying to pull it, and it's a little symbolic scene of just how hard it was and how hard they worked and their teamwork. Also the fact that they were up against all odds. Everyone doubted this could happen, but they were all saying it was an exciting time because Walt willed it to happen. He told everybody it could happen and that they had never done this before, but they could do it. And so it all gave them confidence that they could pull it off, and they all mobilized under Walt's singular vision to get it done. And I think that scene to me is emotional to me because I just feel like it symbolizes the teamwork."

Centennial High School graduation in Franklin, Tennessee was held outdoors despite heavy rain and lightning Weather is known in advance so the caroming could have been moved indoors but school officials had a “Rain or Shine” Policy so the Pre-Set Plans had to move ahead They knew the rain was coming but thought they could get the ceremony done before the rain and didn’t want to move the ceremony into the gym. From what I could find they didn’t know if everyone would fit They even had a backup plan incase it rained Staff indicated that if it rained on Thursday, they’d try again Friday and go indoors if needed then. They stuck with the original Thursday plan rather than moving it to Friday Many parents and attendees were extremely frustrated, calling it unsafe due to the lightning strikes. They were disappointing because it was such a milestone

Asking a fit person what they do to stay fit AND assuming that’s how they got fit is like asking a rich person how they maintain wealth and assuming that’s how they built it. The maintenance protocol and the building protocol are not the same thing. If you model the current behavior without the foundation, you’re solving the wrong problem. And yeah, the build takes some time… But once you get there? Maintenance is easy. If you want to start from the right place without trial and error, DM me “TRAIN”.

I like to do after, and before to show the progress first and where they started second versus the usual “before and after”. • Again, it’s attention to detail. It’s adjusting the little things instead of telling a kid head down follow through and don’t crunch for an hour straight. What’s causing the crunch? What’s causing him to sweep and swing left? What’s causing him to do the things that he’s doing wrong? • Can’t just tell a kid to do something or force him to do it without the why and how. They need to understand what’s causing the problem. Theres a reason for why something is “wrong”. Again … all in the smallest and finest of details that many tend to miss.
