Rory McIlroy’s driver swing evolution over the last 17 years. 😍 “Rory McIlroy has the best natural driver swing that has ever existed.” Do you agree with that statement? I’m starting to think so. Why? No injuries despite getting faster and faster. Cruising at 185 ball speed and seemingly...

I think so.

For sure. I think the most underrated aspect is the balance. Whether he’s cruising or stepping on one, he is able to hold that finishing pose. It is so rare to see him recoil like other golfers do.

Yeah it’s crazy. Never off balance at all, even when flying it 325

His fitness level is over the top. He figured it out early and used the new equipment to maintain his speed and distance.

The reason I say he’s “natural” is because he was long and accurate even as a scrawny teen. The training got him faster, but he was always fast.

I think an argument could be made for Jack Nicklaus. Also @Golfingbrock

I have always loved how free flowing his swing is. Not many have this, imo

Nobody has the combo of speed, accuracy, beauty, and balance.

After an opening 74 at the PGA Championship that he described as “shit”, Rory McIlroy bounced back with a bogey free 67 that he says was “not as shit” to comfortably make the cut. Despite unanimous praise from fans about the Aronimink set up, Rory is not as impressed: “The only thing I would say is, I think a bunched leaderboard like this, I think it's a sign of not a great setup, I think when it's as bunched as it is, because it hasn't really enabled anyone to separate themselves. It's like, you know, it's easy to make a ton of pars, hard to make birdies, and not that it's hard to make bogey, but it feels like bogey's the worst score you're going to shoot on any one hole. “There's not a lot of hazards. There's not, you know -- yeah, I think the setup is fine, like the golf course is good, the pins were tough, and the wind was what it was as well. But I just think, yeah, I've always felt like really good setups, it starts to spread the field a bit, and not great setups sort of bring everyone together. I feel like that's what's happened the last two days.” Rory is 5 shots back of the lead in T30th position heading into the weekend and says he still feels like he is in with a chance: “At five back I do feel like I'm right in the tournament, and that's really what I wanted to do today was to just get myself back in it, and I feel like I've done that.” Rory has a Saturday pairing with Brooks Koepka at 11am EST. He will need 2 low ones over the next 2 days if he is to claim his third PGA Championship and be halfway towards completing the calendar year Grand Slam. Rory McIlroy PGA Championship

Lindsey German, "I'd like you to just look around at your neighbours here this afternoon on this demonstration." "I'd like you to look at the diversity — the different nationalities, the different religions that are here." "Then I would like to ask you whether you think this looks like a hate march, because we are the exact opposite of hate marchers." "Despite what has been said by the police, by Keir Starmer, by the politicians and by the media, everybody is here today because they oppose hate, they oppose war, they oppose genocide, they oppose what is being done to the people of Palestine." "And we are here today in solidarity with the people of Palestine, because it is still going on." "Gaza was bombed last night. Lebanon was bombed last night." "There is no ceasefire and no justice for the Palestinians." "And if you want to see what a real hate march looks like, just look over St James’s Park to Parliament Square." "That’s a hate march." "They hate Muslims, they hate people from abroad, they hate migrants, they hate women, they hate absolutely anybody who isn’t like them." "They are the real hate marchers." "And we are here today to take a stand in solidarity with the Palestinians, but also against any form of racism and fascism." "And one of the most shocking things about all this is the way the police have been criminalising our marches, the way they have been arresting people, the way they try to ban slogans, the way in which they say that people are not allowed to stand up for the Palestinians." "And I’ve got a message for Mark Rowley and the Metropolitan Police." "Do not start telling us what racism looks like." "We know what racism looks like, and we know it much better than the Metropolitan Police know what it looks like." "My final point is this." "Keir Starmer is toast." "He’s not going to last until the autumn, nor should he." "And one of the main reasons he’s toast is because of his foreign policy, because of his support for the genocide, because of all those sorts of deeds." "But do not think that whoever takes his place, they need to change their foreign policy." "We have a big political crisis in this country." "We do not want to have to pay for their crisis."
