How to Get Inverted (Backwards) Hot Routes on Your Tight End For certain tight end routes like the Stick Nod, you can use motion to get INVERTED hot routes, meaning hot routes that are backwards from how they are supposed to run. This works best in formations like Gun Trips TE and Gun Bunch TE where the tight end is on the outside of the formation. The inverted Stick Nod route can be especially tricky because not only does it COOK man coverage, but it also gets into a super unique spot vs zone coverage as well. Your opponent isn't going to see this one coming!

The Eagles need Hurts to play this way before the game is lost. I don't know what portion of the conservatism is attributable to Hurts' preference vs coaching, and at the end of the day it doesn't matter. The hyper-aversion to risk is kneecapping the offense. This is a great throw on a concept that isn't even that good. No crossing routes, no conflicted defenders. Just a dig route over the middle of the field and a laser beam from a muddy pocket for a big 3rd down conversion

One of the rarest sights in Indian Railways: an electric locomotive-hauled train running without overhead electric wires! This unusual operation is currently seen on two routes in India, the Ramanathapuram–Rameshwaram section in Tamil Nadu and the Mysuru–Chamarajanagar section in Karnataka. But why is a small portion of these otherwise electrified routes still without overhead wires, while electric locomotives continue to operate on them? The core reason is airports and aviation operations. On the Ramanathapuram–Rameshwaram route, the railway line passes close to a Naval air base, while on the Mysuru–Chamarajanagar route, it runs near Mysuru Airport. During electrification, concerns were raised about overhead equipment in the vicinity of active runways and its potential impact on flight operations. As a result, while most of both routes were electrified, these small sections were left without overhead electric supply. But Indian Railways still wanted to operate electric locomotives on the routes. So, a rather unusual solution is used: trains accelerate to their permissible speed before entering the non-electrified section and then roll through it using their momentum before reaching the electrified section again. It sounds like a hack, but this is an actual operational practice, making it one of the most unusual electric-train operations you can spot in Indian Railways. Rashod Bateman's talent as a route runner has been on full display this season, leading to a career high 9 TD's. His IQ and the nuance in his route running has been so paramount to the Ravens success, particularly in the red zone. His ability to attack blind spots coupled with the intention behind every step and varying his stride length has been awesome to watch. With profound flexibility in his ankles and lower half he can abruptly flatten routes at the stem or decelerate, pulling the e-brake to create separation. With Zay Flowers injury, the Ravens will need Bateman to step up this Saturday big time.

We grew up hearing the same rules over and over: “Don’t talk to strangers, don’t ever get in a car with one, and definitely don’t take candy or anything else from them.” But now? We open an app, message a total stranger, climb into their car, and sometimes even take a bottle of water or a mint they offer us. Sure, we double-check the license plate, say their name out loud, and they say ours back… but let’s be real, it still feels a little weird, right? We’re basically doing all the “never do this” stuff our parents drilled into us. I use Uber a lot traveling, but I don’t crawl in until the driver says my name. My app is set up with a personal contact that is notified as soon as the Uber driver puts my pin into his phone, then it notifies my PC that I am route to my destination. My PC can track my movement and is also notified immediately if the driver veers of the route. Once at my destination my PC is automatically sent my arrival time. Do you uber?

A rational mind always looks for multiple secure routes. It does not make sense for trade between the East and the West in the world to depend on only one route. We must use all available routes. I believe that after the new situation in Syria, a suitable environment has been created for connecting the land routes and transportation networks, especially given Syria’s strategic location — linking Syria, Jordan, and Türkiye with the Gulf countries, Europe, and others. Even if conditions in Hormuz become easier, one must always look for alternatives, because economic integration is a necessity and a benefit for everyone.

I felt very confident with Jordyn Tyson as WR1 heading into the year, which was partially due to how underwhelming the rest of the class was. But CFB WRs have developed at an unprecedented rate this year & the class has gone from mediocre to 2024-caliber (I have 11 in my top-50). Despite seemingly every WR behind him having a breakout season, I think Tyson has maintained (or even extended) his lead. For such a polished WR with so few glaring weaknesses, I wasn't expecting a huge leap, but he's noticeably improved across the board. Anything he was below average/avg at last year, he now does at a solid/good level. - Play strength was a concern, but he gained 15 lbs & is still an easy mover - Cut his drop rate from 8.5% to 2.5% - Stops/comebacks have been his worst routes imo, but it was clearly a technique issue because he's cooking this year He’s also built on his strengths & the good/great aspects of his game are now great/elite. - Making ridiculous acrobatic plays/adjustments at the catch point weekly - Even better salesmanship/timing as a route runner this year. Wins consistently on slants/digs/outs because he has a plan to attack every leverage/technique. - Improved attn. to detail vs. zone. Really precise stems to disguise his route & disappear into the blind spot - More juice after the catch this year

3rd and 2 out of the 2-minute warning and Hurts takes a sack. There are plenty of issues here. Personnel-wise, why is your RB3 on the field? Why does Dallas Goedert sit down over the ball against man coverage? The Cowboys are all over the AJ Brown slant route, devoting their hole defender to it, so the middle of the field is wide open if Goedert keeps running. The out route to Dotson is also open, but Hurts is already off of it, fading away as Jordan Mailata and Fred Johnson both get pushed into his lap. Also, what happened to single-high, let it fly? If you show me this look I'm putting Smith and Brown both on vertical routes and living or dying with my 1 on 1 shot.

This is a video of me climbing Fractal Universe (5.13a R) in Sedona. It was the only trad route at an otherwise entirely bolted crag and it was decidedly heads up - soft rock and exciting gear. Earlier this winter I posted something about a route in Red Rock that I thought could use more bolts and some of my friends gave me grief for making climbing light duty (not too seriously, but they worried that I was promoting the wrong path). But in general, I love the adventurous side of climbing (obviously!) and this route in Sedona was the perfect example. I did many of the sport routes that day as well, but I only really remember the heads up trad route - the spiciness made it a lot more memorable. It was a good reminder that so much of the climbing experience is what you put into it. Higher commitment is often more rewarding.

I’ve wondered for years if elite shooters like Kevin Durant even see or notice defenders when they take jump shots or if they only see the basket. I asked KD about that after the game “Sometimes when I lose focus I look at my defender and look for a split second back at the rim and I miss. I try to stay conscious no matter what keep my eye on the rim stay with my fundamentals.”
