Always great to see the hard work. Those look more like hang cleans than power cleans (which is one movement from the floor to shoulder). When it’s hanging below the hip it’s a hang clean.

Power cleans are coming along, still a long ways from good, but way better than from where I started 6 months ago- rowing was solid and executed as I intended! Things are coming together- felt good after this one! Well at least after I stopped breathing hard from the row anyway!

Caveat it’s early in the season for rowing, but not bad to be number 1 in the world for all age groups, given I’m almost 60! This was a rate restricted row at 30 SPM so I’m probably 5 seconds faster than this with a free rate row. Pleased with power cleans today as I felt I made progress with the 3rd pull and getting myself under the bar a little bit more aggressively!

In Oct I was 265 lbs, today I’m a solid 190lbs. I was a fat ass. Dropped 65lbs in 6months. Still 30lbs overweight, got lots of work to do. Target weight is 170-165. Giving myself 1-2 years to hit 170-165 in a healthy manner. If achieved sooner, more power to me. Have a blessed weekend family
