Royal Mail should only deliver second class letters every other weekday to "protect" the future of the UK's postal industry. On #BBCBreakfast Ben Boulos had details of a review by regulator Ofcom

If as you stated, @RoyalMail are only delivering 7M today, compared to 20M in 2004. How are they struggling to still deliver letters, as there's less letters to deliver?? And that's if they deliver them at all or to the right address, which is a regular occurrence last few years.

Maybe they should focus on actually delivering mail instead of losing it. They've lost numerous parcels I've sent out. Surely it's straightforward, I hand them a parcel, they then take it to the address on the label?

Just proves my point that ofcom are making sure that shareholders get their big bonuses!!! First they removed the requirement to have first delivery before 9am now they want to muck about with 2nd class post the post office was created to provide a public service

why didn’t your journalist ask Ofcom about the take over of Royal Mail by Daniel Křetínský! Surely he will be making changes once he’s in situ! Your journalist did not push the point about job losses very poor interview 😡

@RoyalMail is being purposely broken. Deliveries being made too big, so you can’t complete your delivery most days. Parcels being prioritised over hospital letters. People say they only have mail once a week and that’s why every other day sounds good. I guarantee it will be worse

Why not just have one class , then that takes out sorting of letters.

They do that now and call it first class .

Does anyone still get two deliveries in a day. I haven’t for about 20 years now. Lucky if I get 2 deliveries a week. The service is being deliberately run down. The fines from #Ofcom are pointless , prices keep going up, service keeps getting worse.

This strategy is already in place! We are lucky if we post once a week! Used to get it twice a day.
