Rubber tapping is the process by which latex is collected from a rubber tree. It is not damaging the forest, as it doesn't require the tree to be cut down.

Rubber tapping doesn’t harm the tree, it just collects latex from shallow cuts in the bark. One tree can produce latex for over 25 years. And since it doesn’t require clearing land, it actually helps preserve forest cover while supporting local livelihoods.
