Rubio: Putin may be a war criminal, but ending the war requires talking to him. Dialogue is essential despite Russia’s aggression. 1/

Rubio: If there had been no connection between the US and Russia in 1961, the world could have ended during the Cuban Missile Crisis. 2/

Rubio: It’s irresponsible for the US and Russia, the two largest nuclear powers, to cut off all dialogue. Some communication must continue to avoid miscalculations and war, even if we aren’t allies or friends unless conditions change. 3/

Rubio: The US can no longer “solve all the world’s problems.” Many terrible things happen globally, but America must prioritize its national interests. 4/

Rubio: Foreign aid isn’t charity but serves U.S. national interests. We cut some USAID contracts, kept others, and are integrating USAID into the State Department to align it with our foreign policy. 5Х

In 1961, the U.S. STOOD UP TO Russia at Checkpoint Charlie, @SecRubio. In 1962, we blockaded Cuba & threatened to sink Russian ships! THEN the Kremlin finally begin to negotiate reasonably. There are lessons in history, but it seems neither you nor @POTUS have grasped them.

When he is sending aid to Israel without Congress authorization he is singing a different tune. Apparently he wants to solve that problem. It is convenient for these scumbags who lack morals, ethics, sense of right or wrong to keep throwing any excuse out there to betray the free world and cozy up with authoritarian dictators. Sudan, Mali, N Korea, Belarus, Iran and Russia? Really those are his new voting pals in the UN. Absolute and historical embarrassment on the world stage for the USA.

The world has fundamentally changed. Russia is not the USSR. Russia is a backwater, uneducated, corrupt oligarchy. Stop fear mongering like russia is going to do anything to us.

🚨 BREAKING: ABC just tried to grill Marco Rubio for the US giving Putin the "red carpet" and President Trump having a "warm handshake" - and Rubio was having NONE of it. "When I hear people say that, 'oh, it elevates him.' Well, all we do is talk about Putin all the time! All the media's done is talk about Putin all the time for last four, five years. That doesn't mean he's right about the war. That doesn't mean he's justified about the war. Put all that aside. It means you're not going to have a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine. You're not going to end a war between Russia and Ukraine without dealing with Putin!" "That's that's just common sense. I shouldn't even have to say it! So people can say whatever they want. Ultimately, at the end of the day, we have to get the Russian side to agree to things that they don't want to agree to if we're going to have peace. If not, there'll just be a war." "They'll keep k*lling each other and life will go on in America and in the rest of the world, but not for Ukraine. So the president has invested a lot of time in trying to bring an end to this war. He deserves credit for doing that. He gets criticism for doing that. He could have just let this war go on. The president could have just said, 'this is Biden's war, it started under him, we'll do what we can for Ukraine, but we're going to focus on other things.' He could have easily said that. But he's the only leader in the world that got Putin to a meeting to talk about serious things."
