Junhui received high praise from Jackie Chan while filming their fight scene tgt 🥹 📹 when we were doing the 2 vs 1 scene with JC, there were a lot of complex movements and positions involved and JC is really precise abt timing and spacing, and after one round, JC suddenly said “his positioning’s really on point” as he didn’t know at first that jun had done years of choreography on stage, JC said Jun had a strong sense of rhythm and an explosive, dance-like quality 📹 after hearing that, JC seemed more at ease and ended up increasing the difficulty of the moves, originally we were rehearsing at a slower pace, but when JC realised “oh? so you’ve basically grown up on stage, hitting positions is your thing” we sped it up, and the scene actually turned out really well

Yet, my amendment was just shot down to ensure members of Congress can actually fulfill their oath of office. This isn't a laughing matter, and every citizen in our country deserves to know their representative is showing up for them. We deserve a reflective, effective, and accountable government — so I'll keep working at this.

Another thing that The LEGO Movie (2014) has that the Mario Movies (particularly Galaxy Movie) DON’T have is a scene like this that really impacts just how amazing and special The LEGO Movie (2014) really is whereas the Mario Movies (mostly Galaxy Movie) don’t have a single scene like this that makes it so special themselves or convinces you that they are truly “amazing movies” when they really aren’t, not only is this scene so beautifully well written but there are also no unnecessary interruptions or unnecessary humor placements in this scene and it actually takes the time to breathe and slow down a bit and gives you a heartwarming message to both kids and adults, the fact that Mario fans (especially Galaxy Movie fans) keeps giving the bullshit excuse of “it’s a kids movie” makes zero sense and ya’ll simply refused to accept the many issues that Galaxy Movie has and yet The LEGO Movie is also a “kids movie” and yet it wasn’t afraid to treat their audiences like they are real people and not dumb at all, Phil, Chris and the rest of the crew treated it like it was a REAL movie, they didn’t see it as a cash grab like what the Mario Movies would later do, they took the opportunity to make a movie about LEGOs and actually make something worth it for both critics and audiences, the Mario Movies treats their audience like they don’t care about storytelling or character development and keeps gives you a lot of random action scenes or crazy stuff happening every few minutes that it gets so repetitive and boring so fast that it doesn’t challenge the audiences or even kids, The LEGO Movie (2014) is the complete opposite and I wish the Mario Movies were like this movie because fans and audiences truly deserve better than just fan service or random actions scenes happening every few minutes, they simply failed as movies and there’s a reason why there is rarely any hate for The LEGO Movie (2014) because it’s truly a masterpiece that cares about its audiences and it shows that the whole “it’s a kids movie” is really a stupid excuse.

A Democrat congressional candidate refused to say the Pledge of Allegiance and repeatedly turned her back on the American flag at Sacramento City Council meetings. My message for Mai Vang and to anyone who thinks about serving in elected office: That flag is NOT a prop. It represents the sacrifice of generations of Americans who bled, fought, and died so that free people could disagree openly in this country. And the least we can do, the absolute bare minimum, is stand for 30 seconds and say the Pledge of Allegiance. That flag is the one thing that is supposed to unite all of us. So yes, we should say the pledge. In Every committee. Every public meeting. Every generation of Americans has stood up willing to fight and die for that flag. The least we can do is stand up and HONOR it.

This guy is out in the creek finding real gold with his sluice box. He’s shoveling material straight from the riverbed, running it through that blue mat, cleaning everything off, and panning it down until those little gold flakes show up at the end. It’s pretty cool watching the whole process from start to finish. The basic idea of using a sluice to catch gold actually goes all the way back to the gold rush days, when miners built simple wooden versions to do the same thing. Today’s setups with the fancy matting just do it a whole lot faster and better. Real treasures in life often take a little patience and effort to uncover. Sometimes you just have to keep showing up and doing the work, and the good stuff eventually shows itself. Have you ever tried gold panning or anything like this?
