In Kharkiv, a maternity hospital, a dormitory housing displaced persons, a medical college, and residential buildings have been damaged. As of now, dozens of people have been reported injured, including a child. In the capital and the surrounding region, the Russians' main targets were energy facilities. Tragically, this attack has claimed the life of one person. My condolences to their family and loved ones. All necessary services are now working at the sites of the Russian strikes, eliminating all consequences: rescuers, medical teams, municipal services, energy workers, and repair crews. I thank every person involved. I am also grateful to all the air defense personnel who repelled the attack. Every such Russian strike on our energy infrastructure proves that there must be no delays in supplying air defenses. No blind eye can be turned to these strikes; they must be met with a strong response. We are counting on the reaction and assistance of all our partners. Every missile for Patriot, NASAMS, and all other systems helps protect critical infrastructure and enables people to endure the winter cold. Russia brutally struck the central part of Lviv, a city of exceptional cultural value and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Damage was caused to the UNESCO World Heritage. I urge UNESCO Director-General Khaled El-Enany to immediately respond to this crime in the strongest terms. Ukraine will use all available mechanisms to protect our cultural heritage and ensure accountability. Russia’s brutal violations of international law must be met with accountability. Not only the center, but also residential areas of Lviv have been struck. Throughout the day, Russia is terrorising many cities accross Ukraine with swarms of “Shahed” drones: Lviv, Ternopil, Vinnytsia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, and others. There are damages and casualties among civilians. Russia is doing exactly what the Iranian regime is doing in the Middle East, but in the middle of Europe.
