Ukraine’s Fire Point has begun construction of its first production facility outside Ukraine, in Denmark, marking its first site tied to missile production on NATO soil. CEO and CTO terekh said the facility will produce FP-7 and FP-7.X missiles as well as boosters for the Flamingo. Construction of the main production facility is underway, with production planned to begin by the end of 2027. #Ukraine

The production-ready Optimus design has been a mirage for Elon, but he's finally ready to invest in the first line at Fremont. Elon's response to the question on Optimus production target this year: - Delaying the Optimus 3 unveiling until closer to mass production, because competitors replicate each reveal with frame-by-frame analysis. - Production start target for Optimus: late July / around August 2026. - The first Optimus line will be where the current S/X line is at the Fremont factory. Final S/X batch rolls off in early May. - The S/X line can't be torn down instantly — dismantling has to start upstream (small parts production), not at final assembly. - Full dismantle of S/X line + new-line installation for Optimus + wiring + testing takes several months minimum; pulling it off in four months would be historically fast. - Refuses to predict 2026 Optimus output. First tasks will be simple in-factory work, then progressively more complex.

Russian developers implemented and installed their own design solutions and technologies on the aircraft. In December, the United Engine Corporation announced the start of flight tests of the PD-8 engine designed for a passenger airliner. Previously, the SSJ-100 aircraft had an engine of the joint Russian-European development SaM-146, but due to sanctions, its production stopped, so we had to create a completely domestic PD-8.

But certification is only part of the challenge. Scaling production will be critical, Russia would likely need to produce at least 100 of these planes annually just to begin replacing an ageing fleet still heavily reliant on Boeing and Airbus aircraft.
