🇷🇺🇮🇷 Russia has pulled almost all its staff from Iran's only nuclear power plant. 108 people have been evacuated, just 20 remain. Not a good sign.

🇺🇦 Ambassador to UN, Melnyk: Chornobyl site wasn't the only nuclear facility captured by Russia. For the first time in history, one country has illegally occupied an operating nuclear power plant using armed force. On 4 March 2022, Russian troops seized Zaporizhzhia NPP, largest nuclear power plant in Europe, which remains under occupation to this very day as a hostage, terrorizing not only Ukraine but the entire international community. This nuclear blackmail, this nuclear nightmare must end. Russia has to return the plant to Ukraine immediately and unconditionally and ensure its safety in accordance with IAEA standards. UN Member States must stop looking away and finally introduce coordinated sanctions against Russia’s nuclear energy industry.

The nuclear scare campaign has just been rebooted. This time Australian Labor are claiming it’s not safe to live or work near a nuclear plant. How embarrassing for our country. Sign to lift the ban: ✍️

It is now the seventh day – something that has never happened before – of an emergency situation at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. Because of Russian shelling, the plant has been cut off from power, disconnected from the electrical grid, and is being supplied with electricity by diesel generators. This is extraordinary. The generators and the plant were not designed for this, have never operated in this mode for long, and we already have information that one generator has failed. It is Russian shelling that prevents repair of the power lines to the plant and the restoration of basic safety. This is a threat to everyone – no terrorist in the world has ever dared to do to a nuclear plant what Russia is doing. And it is right that the world does not stay silent.

🇷🇺🇧🇩 Why is Russia building a nuclear plant in Bangladesh? The Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant is a $13 billion, 2.4 GW facility that will power roughly 10% of the country once operational. Russia is financing 90% of it through loans, but that money is almost beside the point. VVER-1200 reactors don't just get built and handed over. They require Russian fuel, Russian maintenance, and Russian technical oversight for decades. So Bangladesh gets electricity, but also gets dependency baked into its national grid. And Moscow will have a long-term seat at the table in a rapidly industrializing South Asian country. Source: uniworld.shorts YT

We need to stop this utter nonsense about fighting Russia. First, Russia is not an enemy and won't be attacking Europe, and second, Russia is a nuclear power. Who in their right mind thinks that if Russia was at risk of losing a conventional war that it wouldn't use its nuclear arsenal? It's only Putins' cool head that's stopping Russia from retaliating against NATO aggression and lobbing a couple of low-grade nuclear weapons at Europe right now. NATO assisting Ukraine to violate Russian territory would have been unthinkable during the Cold War. Wise up, people...

The Romanian Navy has carried out a series of controlled explosions to divert water from the Danube River towards the Cernavodă nuclear power plant to help with its cooling. Extreme heat and a drought means there has been record low river levels, leading to the shutdown of a nuclear reactor.
