I have a theory… I’ve previously stated that I believe Putin knew about the upcoming attack and did nothing to prevent it because he wanted to blame it on Ukraine to unite and mobilize his country. But what if that wasn’t his reason for not stopping the attack? What if he wanted a big terrorist attack to take place so the world (albeit temporarily) stops seeing Russia as the aggressor and thinks of it as a victim? Also, it's curious that just last night Russia conducted the biggest attack on the energy infrastructure of Ukraine since the beginning of the war, and today it's hardly talked about because of what happened in Crocus City… #Crocus #Moscow #Russia #Putin

I met with Prime Minister of Canada Mark Carney on the sidelines of the G7 Summit. I informed him about Russia’s overnight attack against our people, civilian infrastructure, and residential buildings, which involved 440 Iranian Shahed drones and 32 missiles, including ballistic ones. We discussed steps for continued diplomatic work with partners within NATO, the G7, and the Coalition of the Willing; strengthening Ukraine’s air defense; and further deepening our military cooperation, including joint weapons production projects and investment in Ukraine’s defense industry. I’m grateful for the imposition of new sanctions targeting Russia’s shadow fleet, a number of Russian individuals, and more than 40 companies in Russia and other countries that are helping Russia circumvent sanctions. I especially thank Canada for its new military assistance for Ukraine — drones, helicopters, and ammunition worth over $2 billion — and the upcoming tranche of over $2 billion financed by proceeds from frozen Russian assets. 🇺🇦🇨🇦

Now is the time when there is a real chance to end the war and stop Russia. To achieve this, we must continue increasing pressure on the Russian Federation, expand support for Ukraine, and finalize the security guarantees. We discussed the consequences of Russian strikes on Ukraine and the strengthening of our air defense and energy resilience – this is one of our key priorities at this stage. Today, I had a substantive meeting with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer. Our main objective right now is to stop Russian terror and force Russia into peace. We discussed the development of defense cooperation. Collaboration in this area will allow Ukraine to receive stable funding for important projects, particularly the production of interceptor drones and long-range drones. There is a good outcome from today’s meeting – an additional decision on joint production. I believe it will strengthen both of our countries. Special attention was paid to bolstering our air defense. We also have agreements on this. Thank you! An important issue is the introduction of new sanctions against Russia. Pressure must be applied to the energy and banking sectors, the shadow fleet, the companies that supply dual-use components used in the production of drones and missiles, as well as all those involved in the production of the “Oreshnik” missile system. Anything that helps Putin scale up weapons production must be blocked. I thank Keir Starmer and the United Kingdom for leadership and for all forms of support that help Ukraine protect lives and shield our people from Russian terror.

Then, in 2022, it launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. And now, under my latest post, Russians are commenting: “This is payback for Wildberries,” and “You brought the war to Russia.” What??? Did they think they could wage war against another country and never face any consequences themselves? No. Once you bring war, you shouldn’t expect to be immune from its effects. P.S. This is the courtyard of my friend’s apartment building in the Lukianivka district of Kyiv. Nothing can justify Russia’s crimes. Russia is a terrorist state. According to him, during the latest massive attack on Kyiv, Ukrainian air defense intercepted 95% of the “Shahed” drones. With a full fleet of F-16s and a sufficient number of missiles, it would be able to intercept 80–90% of cruise missiles. In May, interceptor drones destroyed nearly 7,000 enemy UAVs. Ten Ukrainian companies are already testing cheap interceptor missiles, preparations for winter are underway, and laser air defense systems are being tested. Each square kilometer of Russian advance costs the Russian military 400 killed.

This was Ukraine’s response to a similar statement issued by the Russian Federation. Since then, Russia has attacked Ukrainian ports dozens of times, damaging many ships and killing and injuring crew members and dockworkers. 🔹️28 November 2025: Ukrainian naval drones struck two sanctioned tankers of Russia’s shadow fleet, KAIRO and VIRAT, in the Black Sea as they were heading for loading at the port of Novorossiysk. The operation was carried out jointly by the 13th Main Directorate of the SBU’s military counterintelligence and the Ukrainian Navy. Ukraine did not start this war. Every day our children, our civilians are being killed. Russian oil is a source of funding for an aggressive war and a priority military target.

While Russia claims to be preparing for meetings to discuss peace, what it actually does is attack, terrorize, and destroy. Speaking of meetings, Russia has not so far sent us, Türkiye, the United States, or anyone else its so-called "memorandum." No one even knows what they are going to talk about. Instead, Russia launches new deadly attacks against Ukraine. Unlike the mythical "memorandum," we can clearly see and hear Russia’s true “messages”, its missiles and drones. I discussed priorities for supporting Ukraine in the military and energy sectors with Prime Minister of Norway Jonas Gahr Støre. It’s important to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense and advance the PURL initiative, which enables us to purchase missiles for air defense systems from the United States. Protected skies over Ukraine are one of the key factors that will force Russia to end this war. We also discussed continuing energy assistance to Ukraine. I thank Norway and the Prime Minister for all the help provided, including the protection of our people's lives with NASAMS missiles and assistance to our energy sector.
