Footage showing the current state of the Shakhtarskyi and Lazurnyi Districts in southern Pokrovsk. Despite extensive Russian bombardment by FAB glide-bombs, artillery, MLRS, and drones, the vast majority of the high-rise buildings remain standing and usable for defence (but obviously mostly unliveable for civilians). Because Ukraine doesn't have the manpower to hold the city right now it won't really matter that much for them, but once Russia occupies these buildings, they can still use them as positions. Currently, most of these buildings are in the grey-zone, with both sides actively operating there with no solid line of contact.

Gazans are desperately seeking shelter from the cold in bombed buildings Some of those buildings are now collapsing on the heads of their inhabitants, while Israel continues to ban any reconstruction I have friends & family with small children staying in buildings like those. I begged them not to, given the mortal risk, but their alternative are tiny flimsy tents that quickly drown in the rain
