Ran into a similar problem. Last year netted $42 millions dollars (after taxes). Should have been $76.4M (paid 34.4m in taxes in 2024). And things have been tough, you just don’t know the reality when you are only living off of $42 million… houses aren’t as big, cars aren’t as nice. Puts everything into perspective.
