Ryan Reynolds says his Deadpool casting destiny became obvious while he was filming Blade: Trinity (2004). An executive at another studio saw a piece of the film and told him, “Trust me, if they ever make a movie about Deadpool, you’re the only guy that can play Deadpool.” The executive then sent Reynolds several Deadpool comics, and the very first issue he opened contained a bizarre coincidence. “The first issue I opened up, I was on the panel. Deadpool was saying that I look like a cross between Ryan Reynolds and a Shar-Pei.” Reynolds says he immediately realized how strange the coincidence was: “I was like, ‘Jesus, this is fing destiny. What the hell?’”*

Ryan Reynolds says he and Hugh Jackman made a bet where the loser has to stand in Times Square in the Deadpool or Wolverine suit with no mask and take photos for as long as the winner wants "The bet is that if I lose, I have to go to Times Square wearing the Wolverine suit with no mask and take all the pictures with all the people for as long as he decides. If he loses, he has to get in the Deadpool suit, no mask, head to Times Square" "He's gonna stand there for as long as I want, take as many pictures as I want, and I'm gonna spy on him in a disguise from far away just so I can enjoy it"

Kenneth Branagh says Ryan Reynolds never brought up the ongoing “Why is Thor crying?” gag while filming together on “Mayday”: “He worries about offending me, that’s what it is. That was my baby, you know! Way back before you came in.” (Branagh directed the first “Thor” movie in 2011). Reynolds played on the moment from “Deadpool & Wolverine” at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, where he snuck into the Marvel presentation at Hall-H in a grey denim Deadpool suit and asked Paul Rudd: “Where is Thor, and why was he crying?”

Tom Holland reveals why Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield had better Spider-Man suits than he did. Q: “What’s the worst thing about wearing a Spider-Man suit for 12 hours?” Tom Holland: “The worst thing is definitely the smell. You spend 12 hours in that thing… in a deep lunge… jumping up and down all day. It stinks.” “We did a really interesting exercise in pre-production. I tried on Tobey’s suit. I tried on Andrew’s suit. I tried on my original suits. We spoke about all the things we loved about the previous costumes.” “Andrew and Tobey had it way easier than I did. They had zips in different places. They could use the bathroom. They could take their mask off by themselves. They could take their gloves off.” Zendaya: “Crazy.” Tom Holland: “Which I still couldn’t do.”

Deadpool & Wolverine is a film I try to forget. Look, I don’t normally get this critical about films (I’m here to promote Cinema, not shit on it), but man…this film was brutal. Chris Evans & Ryan Reynolds are the two actors I’ve consistently criticized the most since I started this account. But Evans is different than Reynolds. I’ve always felt like Evans is capable of so much more. Reynolds? This is kind of his jam. And that jam ain’t for me.

Ryan Reynolds says Marvel rejected Deadpool & Wolverine until Hugh Jackman called and wanted back in "The first pitch I had for Marvel five years ago was a Deadpool-Wolverine movie in the Rashomon style. And they said NO" "So then I pitched the most idiotic movie. One was a Sundance movie, no special effects, no conflict" "Then I pitched one where it’s a two-hander with me and the hunter who shot Bambi’s mom. Their answer was, ‘We don’t touch Bambi, Ryan’" "It was like a year and a half of just tap dancing, until Hugh called and said, ‘I want to come back and do this’"

Tom Holland says Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield had it easier with the Spider-Man suit Interviewer: Tom, what’s the worst thing about wearing a Spider-Man suit for 12 hours? Tom Holland: The worst thing is definitely the smell. You spend 12 hours in that thing, in a deep lunge, jumping up and down all day. That shit stinks. We did a really interesting exercise in pre-production where I tried on Tobey’s suit, Andrew’s suit, and my original suits. We sat down with the producers, Destin, and the costume department, and spoke about the things we all loved about those original costumes. The idea behind this suit was to make an homage to the things we loved about them. From a logistical point of view, Andrew and Tobey had it way easier than I had it. They had zips in different places, they could use the bathroom, they could take their mask off by themselves, they could take their gloves off. Zendaya: Take their gloves off… Tom Holland: For the fourth iteration of this character, it was the first time I could comfortably go to the bathroom. Interviewer: Could you drink with the mask on? Tom Holland: On this movie, I could take it off. In the previous movie, it was so tight that to take the mask off, you’d have to take the top off. This movie gave us a lot more freedom. One of the really awesome things we discovered while shooting was these new lenses. In certain light, you can actually see my eyes underneath the mask. Destin said, “I love being able to see that there is actually someone beneath that suit.” It really humanizes the superhero. Zendaya: I love the imperfections of the suit. It wrinkles, it moves, and you can see your ears a little, your jaw movement. I love those details. Tom Holland: With this new suit, we did away with that 3D printing element. It allowed me to be so much more flexible, and the suit was much stretchier. So it was definitely a comfier experience.

Ryan Reynolds says Disney CEO Bob Iger forced him to remove a Mickey Mouse joke from Deadpool "Bob Iger saw the first time he saw the film, it was in pretty good shape, and he said, 'You gotta remove the one line, Ryan.'" "And I was like, 'What line?' He's like, 'You know the line.' And I went, 'Mickey Mouse?' He's like, 'Yeah.'" "And I was like, 'But Bob, the whole movie orbits around that line! Like, that line is the film. It's the thrust, the thesis, it's everything.'" "It's because my brain when he says the one line is like, 'Precious! Must keep the line!'" "And so I really had to kind of walk around his office a little bit, do a couple of laps, and then we were good. We switched it up." "He just didn't want the Mickey Mouse joke in."

Goated animated movie but to go slightly off topic, this has my favourite version of Deadpool and I don’t even like the character like that. To me, this scene alone is funnier than any of the humour and jokes Ryan Reynolds has ever said as Deadpool. Nolan North’s Deadpool >>>>

Hugh Jackman says he was done with Wolverine. Then he pulled over on a road trip just to tell Ryan Reynolds he’s in, 3 hours before the pitch meeting that became Deadpool & Wolverine “I stopped to pee somewhere and I got out of the car and I rang Ryan. I said, ‘Dude, I don’t know where you’re at, I think you’re about to do Deadpool 3, but if you want, I’m in. I want to do all those years.’ And he goes, ‘Are you serious?’” “I said, ‘I’m 100% serious.’ He goes, ‘Dude, I have a meeting with Kevin Feige in 3 hours from now and we have a pitch for Deadpool 3 that you are not in. But I have a feeling they’re going to say no.’” “And he goes, ‘I don’t think we’ve got a movie here, are you seriously in?’ I said, ‘I’m seriously in.’ He goes, ‘I’m going to tell Kevin.’ Tell him.”

The only depiction of Deadpool I like is when he's an outright villain that everybody hates. The last time I can think of him ever being actually evil was in Hulk vs Wolverine.

Ryan Reynolds says the hilarious process of pitching Madonna to use "Like a Prayer" in Deadpool & Wolverine. "I had 'Like a Prayer' stuck in my head for 6 years... but I hadn't yet asked for permission to use it, which is a rookie move." "We ended up going to Madonna’s house to show her how it was being used on a laptop... do I call her Madonna? Or Mudge? Or M?" "Madonna ended up having one of the greatest musical notes... put it in the movie and it was a game changer." "She asked, 'Are you two calling to argue with me?' and I said 'I've done some powerfully stupid things in my life, but nothing that dumb.'" "She's Madonna for a reason."

Dr. Robert Redfield says RFK Jr. is not an anti-vaxxer. “I know that Bob Kennedy is not an anti-vaxxer. You know, I'm one of the biggest advocates of vaccines probably in public health. And I know for a fact that Kennedy's not an anti-vaxxer. What he wants is transparency about vaccines and to have an honest dialogue about it. He's not anti-science. Again, he wants transparency about vaccines. “I remember when I was a young doctor, and I felt that we should go for a class-action suit against the tobacco industry. And everybody told me I was nuts—it would never happen. This was in the 70s. And in fact, when I look at where we are today, we actually recognize that the tobacco industry was not in the interest of the health of the American public. And we've changed that. “I believe we can do the same here. We have to be honest. We have to be consistent. But I do think Kennedy has the leadership, capacity, commitment, and passion to get this accomplished. I'm 100% in his court.” Video via: The Vigilant Fox 🦊

No. I would not work with him again.” “I sort of wish him well because he’s so good as Deadpool, and I think it’s weird that he hates me.” “We had a really weird moment really weird moment on Deadpool where he said, ‘Let’s do one more take.’” “And then as the character, he was like, horrifically mean to me. But to me, as if… as if I’m Weasel.” “So he was like, ‘You know what’s great about you, Weasel? You’re not the star, but you just, you know, you do just enough exposition that it’s funny, and then we can leave and get back to the real movie.’”

Jalen on KAT: "The narrative was placed on him by the outside world. You never really know a person until obviously you meet them face to face and you see what he says and what his actions are. And being the teammate that he is and seeing his sacrifices and seeing what he's done his entire career puts him in a position to become a hall of famer. And honestly I wouldn't trade that for the world. And the things that he's done has been extraordinary and not really sure how he's going to respond to me saying all these nice things about him but he's one hell of a basketball player but he's honestly a better teammate"
