This is demonstrably false. Anyone can find hundreds of once-determined, now dead, house flies who failed to fly through the closed window. The smart ones looked for an opening somewhere else. Determination is of course very valuable. It is the drive to do *something*, but intelligence is the compass that directs you to the goal instead of into the wilderness.
