I find this hard to believe. I went from being an expert at Google to barely using it at all. 90% of search results are either paid results, or websites designed for affiliate marketing. Using Google feels so archaic. For the longest time I thought Google was just going to fail since 70% of its revenue is based on ads, then I realized most people ignore AI and barely use it. Such a weird world we live in.

Sam knows what Sam knows

At least he admitted it. Google is indeed a fierce competitor but ChatGPT is also doing well 💯

As of now, I'm deeply disappointed by Google's AI products. Gemini 2.5 pro was the GOAT at the beginning than became a goat in truest of senses. But obviously, if in the future they'll play their cards well. They have thee potential to be the competitors in the market.

According to Jeff Dean, they’re also considering embedding AI into Chrome to compete with Operator, as mentioned in his Sequoia AI Ascent interview.

@sama is right! ChatGPT might outperform Google in some searches, but Google’s infrastructure and AI talent are tough to beat. Their speed in embedding AI into search shows they’re not backing down. The real fight’s just starting!

@slow_developer, the evolution of search is indeed fascinating. As AI integrates deeper into platforms, consumers will benefit from enhanced accuracy and relevance. Can we expect an informed synergy between both giants? 🔍 #FutureOfAI

Great they can make search even worse now by muddying it up with hallucinations and fake content.
