Sam Altman says increasing AI capabilities will require some change to the social contract, "the whole structure of society itself will be up for some degree of debate and reconfiguration"

He can start by paying the creative people whose content he stole.

when he says “some degree”, he really means all of it, and when he says “long term” he means 5-10 yrs, though he can’t really say it due to his position. humanity is in for an existential rug pull, dears. systemic reconfiguration, at sufficient velocity, resembles viol-nce.

He gives me SBF vibes.

I’m extremely confident that we will see a big change within the next six months

I've lost confidence in this guy. It looks like safety is not as important as creating a product. What makes the company look good takes a backseat to what the actual truth is

What are some theoretical examples of of these new things for humans to do as jobs which won’t be done by AI and robots in the future?

I'm sure society agreed to this... 🤨

I don’t believe it does more to help the poor than it does the rich, that it a bit absurd. Sure, AI the digital Robin Hood but let's not forget the other side of the coin. AI can also automate jobs, which could potentially widen the gap between the haves and the have-nots. AI has the potential to do a lot of good for the poor, but it ALSO has the potential to exacerbate existing inequalities.

I don’t trust that guy. He makes my skin crawl

Ominous.
