@OpenAI I think the allocation of compute preserves autonomy and competition, and imposes a responsibility on people to use it to earn their livelihood

aka you are a serf and openai is the king letting you till the land

And so we sell our compute allocation to pay our rent?

Sure, or use it to create something of value that can be sold at a higher rate

So it's UBI with extra steps, because the UBI holder would still have to figure out how to make that raw compute into profit to use for livelihood resources
