AI will massively boost productivity, but the real issue is not technological. It is political. How wealth is distributed when work is no longer required. More productivity does not guarantee a better future. Without systemic change, it could mean the opposite.

I’m not patting myself on the back, but I’ve been in the doctor business forever and when they passed the Hitech act in 2009 I knew it was a pending disaster, very few listened to me. This made it mandatory in EMRs that patients could email docs, and the doc had to have capacity to answer. This sounds wonderful and innocuous, no one but me saw the future. This feature, electronic messages from patients, is an absolute disaster for docs and NPs, I bring up NPs because they are the ones stuck with this, the docs dump it on them. Many docs admit they only hire NPs to handle these, and to handle crazy, needy patients. I can teach docs and NPs how to handle these and reclaim their lives, but again, they won’t listen to me, they’d rather burn out and quit the profession entirely. If you’re a patient reading this and think it doesn’t matter to you, you are “dead” wrong

The Quick desktop app is here, and it’s compelling. Connects to your email, calendar, Slack, local files, and several other apps to flag important communications, retrieve and summarize info, make recommendations, send communications, and create agents that do work you used to have to do yourself. Gets smarter and more personalized the more you use it. Been using it a lot recently and is changing how I work. It’s allowing me to use applications like my inbox more like an archive, and Quick as my personalized, prioritized, productivity hub that can multi-task various needs. Still early days, and a lot more coming, but excited for folks to start using it to make the undifferentiated work so much less complicated.

Claude Tag has completely changed the way I do work for the last 4 months. Except… it's not Claude Tag. Anthropic only announced that a few hours ago, and I don't even have access yet. But I did build a version of it for myself which I've been using for months now. Here's how. 4 months ago, inspired by the success of OpenClaw, I wondered what would happen if I let Claude Code on its own computer 24x7. So I built a simple harness that allowed me to turn any Mac into an AI employee with Claude Code headless mode (-p). Today, I manage 3 such AI employees. It started with Luo Ji — my and my brother Piyush Agarwal's AI co-founder, running in our personal Slack. Luo does real work for us. We've been writing a 100% of the code for 3 products on Slack with Luo now. It manages our emails and gives us a little brief each day with things we need to take action on. And so much more. And it's not just the two of us. On the consulting team at Every 🪨, we run Claudie and for the editorial team, Andy. Same architecture, same Slack, months of real work. They help the teams with work related to project management, chief-of-staff work, data hygiene, building decks, writing first drafts, even browsing X on their own account for AI updates. So it's mindblowing to see that Anthropic landed on the exact same architecture I did. Claude Tag is an AI employee that lives in your Slack workspace and does work autonomously. Anthropic says they've been running it internally for the better part of this year — opening PRs, doing real work. And so have I. So has my whole team. The architectural decisions Anthropic baked into Claude Tag are the ones we arrived at too: - Built on Claude Code - Uses its own accounts - A separate employee per team - Slack as the interface This is the future of work, and I've been living it for months. I've shifted all of my workflows — code, PRs, even the non-technical stuff — out of Claude Code and the Claude app and into Slack. I've had entire weeks where I never opened Claude Code on my laptop. Here's a video walkthrough of how I've been using this in real life.

In towns and cities in Cornwall and Devon, places like Subway are often still staffed by young English people working part-time. In more diverse areas, they are not, not only because of the ethnic cronyism of those hiring, but also because they do not want to work with 40-year-old Indians. Not only is it an unappealing work environment for a native young person, who would prefer to work with their peers, but it is also seen as becoming tainted and low-status.

What happens when you give a frontier agent access to a full company's history of docs, messages, tasks and more? As I'm onboarding to ClickUp, this feels like an absolute cheat code. "Cursor for your entire job." Full history of the company's thinking, decision making and operations are natively accessible w/ first-party tools and data access. No exaggeration this has reduced the amount of overhead to get ramped up (# of messages sent) by >60%. At Codegen we built an agent that straddles multiple applications - Slack, Linear, Notion, etc. - with many obvious limitations. Agents cannot search Slack historical conversations, for example, nor can you index Slack data. Any question concerning a historical decision is just out of reach. There are clear constraints of fragmentation preventing otherwise extremely capable models from performing productive tasks. Seems the biggest bottleneck to agent productivity in early 2026 is not capabilities or knowledge, it's the politics and incentives around SAAS fragmentation. Very bullish for all-in-one horizontal SAAS and what that unlocks
