Let me give you some examples of McDonald's French Fries. In the US, there's 11 ingredients. ‌ In the UK, there's 3, and salt is optional. An ingredient called dimethylpolysiloxane is an ingredient preserved with formaldehyde, a neurotoxin in the US version. This is used as a foaming agent, so they don't have to replace the oil that often, making McDonald's more money here in the United States. But they don't do that across the pond. This is Skittles. ‌ Notice the long list of ingredient differences. 10 artificial dyes in the US version and titanium dioxide. This ingredient is banned in Europe because it can cause DNA damage. Artificial dyes are made from petroleum and products containing these dyes require a warning label in Europe that states it may cause adverse effects on activity in in detention in children. Shes had KFC plenty of times back in the UK, but now she’s in the states she wants to try it assuming it’s going to be better than the version she’s used to since it originated here. She was quite shocked with the outcome when she tried it, but I was not. Many countries ban much of the harmful chemicals in food that we still use. Much of the time it’s more wholesome ingredients. For me this is a slap in the face. KFC originated here so why do the other countries get the better version. I know many companies may adapt the recipes for local tastes but for me this is not acceptable. If other countries have a better and healthier version, I feel we should be serving that across the board. I don’t know if we should be supporting a company that doesn’t put us first. It’s shocking that our food is lower quality. This makes me wonder if all the American restaurants over sees are following the same formula as well and we are stuck with the short end of the stick.

Mrs. Butterworth's syrup is not real syrup One of the ingredients is made by heating ammonia and sulfites under high pressure, which creates a cancerous chemical called 4-MEI. Joe Rogan asked the obvious question: why does the US still allow food ingredients that Europe already banned? Senator John Fetterman didn’t push back. He noted that a McDonald’s fry in the UK is basically just potatoes, salt, and oil. The American version has a longer ingredient list. Rogan’s friend in Australia said the same about the burgers. Over there the Quarter Pounder uses grass-fed beef and actually tastes like something. The one he got in the US was bland. Fetterman pointed out that a lot of the grass-fed beef sold here already comes from Australia anyway. Same brand. Different rules.

Act 2 "Butter" popcorn contains NO BUTTER! If you look closely on the pack, it says "butter flavour" not butter, as it contains artificial flavour of butter. Act 2 butter delite popcorn is ~60% corn, and the remaining 40% is mostly palm oil. We often associate international brands with high quality. Interestingly, Act 2 is an American company, but I found 3 cleaner Indian popcorn companies (non-sponsored). The food industry is severely broken, and there are hundreds of products that we eat everyday that are misleading us. Let us read food labels before buying anything to reduce the likelihood of us getting cheated, and so that we put cleaner food into our bodies!
