Same shot, two versions. Who did it better?

The drone shot is nice, but I don't see the world from that angle, and I find it less relatable to human experience. The camera made me "feel" the shot, rather than just "see" it.

I combined the two shots together perfectly. Now this hits the spot 🤤 I guess nobody did it better 🤷

The drone shot is beautiful. But that camera shot?!! Epic! Elegant with a touch of cinema. Like a documentary that's about to be told about that one whale who they thought wouldn't survive but surprisingly did

Both are great shots of something beautiful in nature, but I’ve seen the camera angle before on other occasions, so I like the drone shot better because I haven’t seen a whole lot of those before…

Not the same shot... The drone shot did not show any sign of a bird flying behind the whale.

Camera by far

Drone. Better conveys the enormity of the whale and the amount of water displaced by the dive. People saying the camera shot gives us the kind of perspective we would normally see is, for me, a detractor. A different angle is interesting.

I like the camera version because that's the point of view a person would have if they were on the boat... So to me it just hits harder.

I'm going to say the drone shot was better because I'm seeing an angle that I normally wouldn't see where 95% of the shots are from the camera I like seeing it from an angle you don't see it that often for me the drone wins

Drone shot has better colors and feels more cinematic, Horizon shot gives off a better understanding of the scale and magnificence of the whale and the bird flying across is just icing on the cake.

The 2nd shot is far superior, you really can see the size of the whale and how high the impact of the splash is, and as bonus there's a bird for comparation.

Both fantastic - too close to call

Lenses and Framerates. That lens on that camera is amazing, and it looks as if she shot it in 24p, which we love because of film.
