Why would the cop even be considered to be charged? Less lethal clearly didn't work and he advanced towards the cop with a weapon. He shot once.

Police departments don’t send us to Ninja school. We all are different sizes, strengths, fighting skills and more importantly…. Heart. Take your chances coming at a cop with a weapon in your hand. You don’t know what cop you’re getting.

I used to live in San Leandro, right on the edge of Oakland. The police there had the impossible job of keeping a city, on the edge of a hellscape s/hole, safe and clean. Well done SLPD!

They made the right call when there's a threat to society. The threatening needs to be eliminated, and they did a good job. You don't even have to take that one to court or throw him in jail and feed him.
