10 days ago, we introduced Splash the Pot to AoF games to test the feature and gather initial input from players. Since then, we’ve been closely monitoring how it performs and how you interact with it and we got a lot of good feedback. Today, we’re ready to move into the next phase with the introduction of new Infused Splash Pots. 💰 CoinPoker will be adding $500,000 extra per week directly into Splash the Pot. This builds on top of the existing system and turns it into a true rewards layer within the game. For context, Splash the Pot works by triggering random drops directly into active hands. These drops come from a shared splash pool built through gameplay, where 100% of the pool of any splash contribution is returned to players. CoinPoker does not take any cut of it. With the addition of infusion, the system is no longer only driven by player contributions. CoinPoker is adding extra funds on top of the existing pool, so splashes now carry additional value that comes directly from us, and its a net positive for the players. In practice, this leads to bigger rewards appearing directly in-game, including Mega Splashes that can reach up to 1000 big blinds. Players can follow splash activity, pool performance, and results directly in the client at any time, with clear visibility into how the system is running. To make the system more balanced across the table, each splash will be split between the pot winner and the rest of the players involved. Just wrapped up Hardwood Empire 3.2. A lot of the most asked for features / improvements you guys have been pushing for are in this one. Live Interactive Court: Biggest visual upgrade we've made. Gamecast now has a full live court built into the sim with dynamic home court branding, center logos, arena styling, and live shot mapping. You can actually see where shots happen in real time instead of just reading text. Dynamic Crowds: Arenas feel alive now. Crowds scale based on prestige, so blue blood home games feel packed while smaller gyms feel smaller. Neutral site games can have split crowds depending on who's playing, and fans react live during big moments. Usage Control System: Still the normal 1st / 2nd / 3rd option setup, but now there's also full usage sliders if you want total control over offensive shot distribution. One guy taking over or a completely balanced system, totally up to you. Plugs directly into the actual sim. Music: Added in-game soundtracks for a more immersive experience, with more music coming next update. Gameplay / Sim Improvements: Big realism pass. Late game logic is much smarter, offensive systems behave more realistically, and I spent a lot of time tuning sim rates so scoring, assists, rebounds, pace, and advanced metrics better match modern college basketball. Also tuned long-term dynasty balance so smaller / mid-major schools can still have real breakthrough runs without turning into permanent national powers every save. Other Fixes + QOL: New Player IQ attribute. Working haptics on iOS + Android. Transfer portal affordability indicators. Career / retirement history fixes. International recruit fixes. Schedule + MTE fixes. UI polish. And more. Everything in this update is completely free. No God Mode purchase needed. 3.1 got submitted before I was even home from school, so 3.2 had way more time for polish and bug fixes, and the update after this will probably be way more bug-focused since the game has a ton of features now and making everything as polished and stable as possible is the priority. Most of these features will also be toggleable, so if you want the more classic Hardwood Empire experience you're more than welcome to play that way too. [long, sorry] some updates: The competitive part of Dookey Dash is pretty well cooked and many of you have gotten a chance to playtest the game in some form, either at NFT Paris, in Dubai at Token2049, or as part of our gaming council. THANK YOU for being part of testing and dealing with bugs as we QA the shit out of the game. A not-final build of the game is currently live in the Philippines and Australia for testing. This version is missing a ton of features we’ve been busy building with Faraway, as well as many completed parts of the game that we can’t push live until Season 1 begins. What are we adding? A bunch of things to make the game more casual-friendly. Stuff like: -NEW MAPS: More to explore than just the same 'ol sewer -ARCADE MODE: A new objective-based game mode, with clear conditions for progressing (like "dash through five walls to win," etc). Arcade mode is broken up into levels, and achieving goals gets you progress on the map and onto the next stage. Basically, think Candy Crush. -CHAMPIONSHIP MODE: This is the good old leaderboard-based DDU for hardcore players. -WEEKLY TOURNAMENTS: Compete in weekly tournaments to win boxes featuring new characters, vehicles, banners, etc. Opening up boxes will grant you Dookey Points, which you can spend to spin for a chance at a Golden Plunger – you’ll need a Golden Plunger in order to compete in the $1m esports championship at the end of the season. -DAILY QUESTS: Rotating set of quests with a range of possible rewards It’s a LOT of new upgrades to Dookey Dash, all with the aim of making the game fun for everyone and not just twitchy nerds with fast reflexes. Borderlands 4 previews have dropped and they are insanely positive, It is being praised across the board as being a massive step up from Borderlands 3 and possibly the best BL to date! We're bringing in some fun changes to Dremica this Sunday. Come try it out and see the progress. We can't have a Web3 game without degeneracy. Lokito's gambling antics have inspired a new way to play the game. On Sunday you'll be able to try your luck with your in game gold by spinning Big Boy's Wheel in an attempt to help you top the leaderboards. Also since we've added so much to the game it's time to look at the gameplay loop and its economy. Here's the changes I've proposed and my thoughts. Economic Simplicity We need your in game achievements to feel impactful. Dremica is designed as an MMO to give players freedom of how they play the game. Whether its killing monsters, leveling up tradeskills or playing with their gold. The common denominator for everything is XP (player levels). Even gold can be used to buy XP tomes from the shop to level up your skills. Now I propose we distribute our prize pool to players based on their levels. It's future-proof and allows us to add more features without breaking the core gameplay loops. All players will receive rewards from the SAMA prize pool based on their level obtained. Currently the Carnage prize pool is 100,000 SAMA so EVERY player will get a share of it based on what level they reach during the session. Your level / Total levels from all players * Prize pool = Your rewards. Also to keep that competitive spirit we'll be adding additional prizes for the top 10 on the leaderboard. When the Dremica BETA starts it allows us to simply add in a potential new tokenomic model and also allows PVP to plug into the system with ease. TLDR: More levels = more rewards. Why add in RNG-based mechanics (with the wheel?) Seeing the same people hit top 3 of the leaderboard each week isn't exactly exciting for new players. We can't have a stagnant monotonous grind, we need something dynamic. High-risk/high-reward scenarios change everything. Starting with Big Boy's wheel, we plan more exciting game play options including the new PVP zone in the beta. Personally I can't wait to see someone get super lucky and cause absolute havoc in the community. We're in the Alpha testing phase anyway, let's see how it unfolds. How can you make this sustainable? To make a Web3 game work, it needs to absorb more tokens than what are emitted. Dremica uses a fixed prize pool per session, if we can ensure enough utility that players spend their rewards and more than are emitted it can fund the gaming sessions indefinitely. Next month we're going to be focusing on pushing out the in-game SAMA shop where players can start spending the rewards they earn. It will be the first major step for Dremica to begin adding token utility. Additional utility is planned for the future whether its cosmetic-based rewards or unannounced mechanics. We've held back on planned tokenomic/ecosystem changes to focus on building the game first. If these happen there's only one chance to get it right. I think everyone knows gaming is one of the best use cases of Web3, just need to build a fun experience and keep people engaged. We've got enough time, runway and support to get Dremica up there in the Web3 gaming echelon. What else have you got planned? Each of the past months Dremica has been pushing out some hard-hitting updates and the game is truly taking shape. The team is working tirelessly to keep adding more features and improving the experience. Now that a lot of the core functionality required for an MMORPG is in, we can start to look at expansion. First of all, we here at AMGI want to thank you all for being on this journey with us. We have been extremely busy. Over the last few weeks we have delivered a huge early access patch to My Pet Hooligan, delivered a new on-chain governance solution with WinVote, brought back NFTs in game, started testing the Street Kred system, made some new hires, delivered a new site for AMGI Studios and smashed the largest gaming event in the USA, PAX West. What does all of this mean and importantly what is next!.... PAX West You have seen the videos, you know the vibes were on point, but let's dive deeper into this and what the key takeaways are. PAX West was completely different to the WAGMI Crypto events that we are mostly used to in this space, although these are always fun and important, when creating gaming products, it is also important to get directly in front of people who have a passion for gaming. That's what PAX West was, hosting over 100,000 gamers who just want to play games and have fun. PAX West was a great success for us on many fronts. It confirmed that we have something special in our hands. Gamers loved both the brand and the game and were eager to get involved. It opened up new exciting opportunities with gaming and hardware companies. It was a blast seeing event goers from Day 2 onwards wearing the My Pet Hooligan t-shirts around the city. It was great to see parents playing the game together with their kids. The choices to not include blood and gore made a huge difference and have opened some new unexpected doors for us. If we truly believe in the progression and adoption of this industry we need to move beyond degen products and into real life consumer products that people can truly enjoy. That's what we are here to do, no matter how difficult it is, and no matter what the current ‘meta’ is. We have been here for many years grinding day in and day out and are still here today delivering like we are the new kids on the block trying to prove ourselves. The Game PAX West marks the end of a phase of the project, whilst we now posture more into continued efficiency, growth and retention. The game is not feature complete by any means yet but the foundations are strong. There are a number of features still being developed, including a progression system, consumables system, further build out of questing, token utility and more. As these are continuing to be developed we also continue on our journey to make the game more accessible. This will start with Steam and then Consoles. A Microsoft rep at PAX told us “we are going to make it”, who are we to disagree!... Lots of new ideas, lots of new feedback to work from and a renewed drive and hunger which are only going to help make this an even more compelling and fun game. The Web3 Marketplace In the coming days, Version 1 of the My Pet Hooligan Web3 Marketplace will be going live. Version 1 for now will allow for the trading of My Pet Hooligan NFTs, OG Hooligans and Zuckbots for $KARRAT. It will also serve as the marketplace for all of our upcoming in-game blockchain assets. This will eventually become part of your online My Pet Hooligan central hub and will include features such as rentals and subscriptions. It's been a long time coming but it shall be here very soon. Everything's coming together, one step at a time. It is important to note that there are many pieces of a complex puzzle that must come together in order for us to succeed. Between payment solutions, L1 & L2 blockchains, wallets, distribution platforms and the laws of the land. We are in uncharted waters and continue to do things in the most flexible ways possible to ensure we have strong resilience with our operations. The MPH website is next on the list for an uplift too as well as an overhaul of the user accounts system UI/UX. Team We continue to strengthen the team bringing in new hires and stepping up individuals from the community. Some of the new resources being brought in include a new Game Producer, Senior Game Engineer, Senior Blockchain Engineer and the former Dean of the Epic Unreal Fellowship Programme. Collectively bringing in experience from Epic, Solana, Blizzard and more. There are also some community role changes and new advisors that will help with social strategy and web3. As well as new marketing efforts through new channels of distribution that we are exploring. More to come on this… WinVote V1 Governance isn't sexy but building tools for the benefit of the space that others can license is. Governance is a key part of the industry and a need for most of the foundations in the crypto space. WinVote has started its trial with the KARRAT Foundation. Whilst the trial continues it will continue to be built out with an aim to be the premier tool for on-chain governance in the space. Access to WinVote for other communities and organizations wishing to use WinVote will be secure through licenses that utilize $KARRAT. We still have much more at work here in the studio, such as continued R&D, The Others, AI, Feature Development and more. This list is long, but we are grateful to get to do it.
