This was NOT embellishing a resume, it was fabricating a life and family history that didn't exist. Good God.

Santos, I'm a big liar, but hey I'm no fraud. fraud. n. the intentional use of deceit, a trick or some dishonest means to deprive another of his/her/its money, property or a legal right. If you're taking a salary based on why people voted for you then yeah, that's fraud.

Anyone who feels the need to tell you that they are not a criminal is usually a criminal.

I think we need to see George Santos's birth certificate. Was he born in the United States? If not, did he ever become an American citizen? Should be VERY easy to verify.

ADMITTED lied about: His education His work His family background Owning 13 properties (actually owns no property) His current living arrangements (staying with his sister) Yeah, we all do that, what’s the big deal?
