Saskatchewan will never be the 51st state. Canada is a beautiful country that needs to stay together. And talk of separatism is bad for our economy. Why is it so difficult for Premier Moe to do the right thing?

It seems like you need a refresher on how a democracy works. Concerning you are an elected officials and don’t understand that the people have the power and only they get to decide their future. Some helpful tips:

Why aren’t the NDP for Saskatchewan getting a better deal or being treated with respect within the Confederation? Oh right, it’s because you supported every policy the Liberals have passed, along with the harm those policies have caused our people. What’s truly amazing is that the more you double down on this kind of messaging, the more people are waking up to reality. You stand with the elites in Ottawa who are harming us. We stand with the people of our province.

The right thing is allowing citizens to vote on things important to them. I guess democracy is scary to the NDP when you don't get to control it.

Premier Moe isn’t flirting with separatism because he wants to join the SEC or order grits for breakfast. He’s sending up a flare because Ottawa treats Saskatchewan like an ATM with wheat allergies, always taking, never listening. When your province gets hammered by federal policies that look custom-built for urban voters in Montreal and Vancouver, and you’re told to smile about it, eventually you snap. That’s not “hurting the economy”, that’s demanding respect for the people who actually grow the economy. The old “separatism is bad for business” card? Hilarious. Like endless Ottawa finger-wagging has been so great for Western investment lately. And if unity’s so fragile that some grumpy prairie talk will tank Bay Street, maybe the real problem isn’t the message, it’s the management. Moe’s not the problem. Ottawa’s chronic tone-deafness is. Western frustration isn’t about wanting to break up the band, it’s about wanting a new setlist. If you want unity, quit shaming the West and start fixing the system. Otherwise, don’t be surprised when people stop singing along.

I think very, very few western Canadians want to be the 51st state. Now, being its own sovereign country, out from under the boot of Ottawa..that’s another story.

You don’t get to decide. You get ONE vote like everyone else.

Canada sucks as a country. It’s become unrecognizable from what it was decades ago. Corrupt politicians in Ottawa don’t even hide it anymore because theirs no accountability. SK and AB will not survive the next decade or two if we don’t leave confederation while we can.

But in a democracy, it's not up to you. If you want to be chosen, give them something worth choosing.
