I see a lot of people upset with Garcelle after the recent episode of #RHOBH Everyone is entitled to their own opinion on the matter and here’s mine: I know a lot of people are aware of the negative connotations when calling a black women “angry” or “aggressive” but a lot of people were confused about the word “attacked” and I can understand that. Housewives use the word “attacked” a lot. But in my opinion, it wasn’t just Dorit saying Garcelle “attacked” her… it was Dorit singling Garcelle out as the aggressor when it was Sutton who was getting loud and angry with Dorit… if anything, Dorit should have said Sutton attacked her. I don’t think in that moment Dorit had bad intentions. l think that she has unconscious bias. Does she automatically think that if a black woman calls her out or disagrees with her that she is being attacked? But even if you didn’t think that was unconscious, Karen behaviour from Dorit… it was her social media posts months after the episode was filmed that she decided to write those ignorant captions…after saying in her confessional that she is going to listen and learn. To me that was the most offensive part and done purposefully. Garcelle said Dorit lived in a privileged bubble and Dorit double downed on it. Also, I always stop and think about Dorit’s past behaviour towards Garcelle and maybe if those incidents didn’t occur, Garcelle wouldn’t feel the way she does about Dorit and get triggered by her. Example 1 Season 11 reunion: Dorit screamed at Garcelle at the reunion: “Let me finish, Garcelle!” Garcelle remained calm and I remember Kyle gesturing to Dorit to bring it down. Mr Herman Mashaba, with all due respect sir… you are the last last person who should be giving lectures about Johannesburg’s crumbling infrastructure 😩 You had THREE years in power, THREE and we were promised decent housing, potholes fixed, hijacked buildings reclaimed… basically Joburg 2.0. So quick question: what exactly happened? Because the potholes are still here, the buildings are still hijacked, and the only thing that seems to have been upgraded is the speeches 😏 Now suddenly it’s “our roads are embarrassing”… oh, now we’ve noticed? During your term were they on vacation or what? It might help to reduce the talking just a little, especially when elections are around the corner because the memory of residents is not as short as politicians hope 👀

In a recent interview, Colonel Nobel of the Massachusetts State Police stated that public trust was compromised by Michael Proctor on a "personal level" and not on a "operational level". Let me be so ever-living clear about this: those of us in the state (and especially in Norfolk County) overwhelmingly do not have trust in the state police. The conversations I've had with the women in my life who are afraid of being around state police. My non-white friends who are nervous when they see a state cruiser. One of my black friends said that he "always makes sure his hands are on 10 and 2 when around staties". That we can't trust the cops to not treat innocent individuals with dignity or transparency. This isn't personal. This is systemic. It wasn't just the Karen Read trial. It was the investigation of the murder of John O'Keefe. Of Sandra Birchmore. Of Ana Walshe. When the system quietly disciplines officers like Buhkenik, Tully and DiCiccio. When the system promotes an officer like Kotkowski. When the system protects an officer like Fanning. When the system fights for the rights of Proctor.. this is why we don't trust you operationally. It's not over some taillight or texts, it's the community seeing the behavioral patterns as a whole. It should not take criminal activity by one officer, and a failed public relations campaign, for a colonel to recognize (and change) this.

I spoke with a Canadian citizen who immigrated from Chile as a little boy. He told me he has been a Class 1 truck driver for 35 years. But when he tried to get work in Vancouver, he said he could not get hired because, in his words, companies were only hiring immigrants from India. That is a serious problem.
