With all the creepy weirdos in the world, parents NEED to be in control of kids access to the internet. For problems outside of the www, this works well too..

YES! This is a perfect way of describing how dangerous it is to post everything you have going on!

Yes, I agree the ad is very effective. It reminded me of those families that would put stick figure stickers in their rear window of their car, showing the size of their family. I thought that was way too much info about a family. I recall seeing several that were only a mom and children.

Yes, it is! People don't realize how much data they can find from simple online posts. My brother never even allowed his kids to have their name on their backpack, notebooks, etc because strangers can use that to deceive children.

@rebswife65 I only ever posted my kids on fb, family and friends only! I stopped posting pics years ago, never “checked in” anywhere! I don’t understand how people constantly post their entire lives online for $$$ I won’t even put my child’s name on the back of their sweatshirt! 🤷🏻‍♀️

I have people I know on FB, who show photos of their little girls in dresses, telling the world where they are and where they go to school. I cringe. Heck, I don't show real photos of me. I'd never post photos of my kids. Too many weirdos out there.

Quit making your child a live GPS locator on social media. I share stuff with family because they're the only ones who really want to see that stuff.

It’s nice to see them showing an add like this. People would be shocked at what can be pieced together just from little bits of information.

I was saying this so long ago... having a security background, taught this stuff by professionals. I remember my daughter calling the police on me, said I was monitoring her private facebook page. They showed up and told her, " You are so lucky to have a father that watches you " then they told her some horror stories. Mark Zuckerberg should be H by his 🎾on a

The frustrating part is even if you don't post pictures of yourself or your kids online, friends or other family members will. 😤

I never understood why anyone would post pictures of their children online. It’s one of the most irresponsible things a parent could do. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Even those “My kid is an A student” bumper stickers with the name of their school is ill advised by many law enforcement agencies.

@Hat_1776 I wish people would pay attention to this! Drives me nuts that ppl post info on their kids that could lead to ID theft, pedo stalking, misuse of images, etc. There are a lot of deeply greedy, depraved ppl taking full advantage of their ignorance.

It’s infuriating to me that this was obviously created in the U.K. where they are refusing to prosecute rape gangs, but have no problem they are parents about sharing too much online. While every parent should be careful, this absolutely SCREAMS hypocrisy!!

AMEN - The onslaught against Children on the internet is horrible. Defense starts with Parents, I don't care how much they say they hate you, invade their privacy - they are KIDS, Minors - You are the decision maker, not them. Put Snoopers on their emails & phones.

@junogsp7 I have always been SO grateful my daughter couldn’t care less about Instagram & any of social media. I quit Facebook over a decade ago. All she has grown to be a very happy, confident successful young woman with an active social life in person.

@OnlyAsking3 People need to stop putting their private life on the Internet. More so if you have children.
