Personal Story Time: My family has been bball season ticket holders in some capacity for as long as they’ve been selling them When I was 8 YO, we secured some extra tickets in the student section for this game I lived and died by every shot, even in those days. Cried after every loss (8 YO me would’ve been in full crisis mode in 2024, holy shit). Anyways, we have 4 tickets + 2 in the student section. My 60+ YO grandmother decided to accompany me in the student section. Mind you, I’m 8. I’m like MAYBE 4 feet tall? Standing on seats, partying, learning some… colorful language. Louisville goes down 6 in this game and I’m ready to GTFO. Full on ready to cry mode. Grandma says hello no. “It’s not over until it’s over.” Then THIS happened. That’s the moment that solidified my fanhood forever. We are talking a lot about Tennessee lately. Loved the series in the 2000’s. Cards won all of them and then capped that off by destroying the Vols in the 2008 NCAA tourney. This moment was just the best. As for grandma, she was a G. In 2005, she went with my older siblings to the final four without any tickets. No dice, so she bar hopped with my older siblings in STL after watching the game outside the arena just taking it all in. It was our first final four trip in a couple decades, after all. There are real, incredible stories behind all of our fanhoods. But it’s memories like this that keep us going to games, still living and dying by every shot no matter the outcome. Kyren Lacey’s story is a tragedy. I don’t have all the right words for what his loved ones must be feeling right now. But I do know this: life can get so heavy that giving up feels like the only way out. I hope you don’t. I hope you #KeepPushing, even when the darkness feels like it won’t lift. Suicide has touched my life from the very beginning. I was just two months old when my mother, Sharon, took her life. I attempted suicide at 18. And again at 26. I haven’t always talked about it — not because I’m ashamed, but because people joke about things on the internet for a giggle and it’s your life. And some pain is too deep to make room for that kind of ignorance. But today, I’m telling the truth out loud: your life is worth living. Even in your lowest moment, you’re not alone. You’re not the only one who’s ever felt like this. And you don’t have to stay in that place. Talk to somebody. You still have purpose. You still have time. You are needed in this world.

“Alright guys, I was telling you… I’ve been a bit absent these past few days because, as you know, I was with Scarlett, so we spent a bit more time just for ourselves. But we didn’t miss the live at Vera’s place and Margarida and Tillie were there too. I hope you liked that livestream, it was a bit crazy, but at least we got to have a few laughs together. I’ve come back to my homeland—very cute, yeah. And yeah, now I’m here with you, all fresh, clean, and smelling nice after this morning’s flight, which was a disaster. Not only was it delayed by 45 minutes, but then there were another 40 minutes waiting in line…. And then another 40 minutes in line to get through passport control. Passport control, guys. Insane. I think there were multiple flights all at once—at some point nothing made sense anymore. People were cutting in line, pushing through—I mean, what even… just one line for passports. I understand people who had connections, but just say it, don’t just shove your way through, you know? You get me? You get me? Anyway, yeah guys, in the end we made it. I got back home, and yeah… me and Scar will see each other in a month—or honestly, I don’t even know when exactly. It’s a long-distance relationship, so it’s not like we’ll see each other every day or be together constantly. We knew that from the start, for sure. But sometimes it’s even nicer like this, because when you meet again you have so much more to share. But yeah, we’ll find a way to see each other—hopefully as soon as possible. And it’s okay like this. We don’t like things to be easy… at least, I don’t.

This is one of the best videos to ever exist for entrepreneurs, creators... I think about it often. In 2016, Pharrell Williams visited a NYU music production class to critique student songs. At the beginning you could see student "Maggie Rogers" drenched with the absolute terror of sharing this with him. Pharrell is there just trying to keep his excitement in. The guy couldn’t wait to tell her this song is the bee’s knees. After he listened to a song called “Alaska”, he explained why “I have zero, zero, zero notes for that:” 24 hours later, someone posted the clip to Reddit. It blew up and the rest is history. Grammy nominated, millions of followers etc. And Maggie responded to the Reddit thread (i'll share screenshot in the next tweet). This story I find so cool because it inspires other artists to share what they got. We all can all connect with the fear of showing our work. It ain't easy. And to have a unique POV like Maggie. Easy to copy, harder to have something unique. I’ve got a bunch of designs, creations that have never seen the light of day. This video inspires me to publish more. My point of sharing this video: Publish your art anonymously. Or publish your art proudly as yourself. Bonus points if it's one of a kind work. But publish your darn art. The Becker Schools in Minnesota released a statement about the incident where a teacher politically berated one of her students for not agreeing with her political gaslighting. Thankfully, the incident was filmed so it wouldn’t become a ‘he said/she said’ situation that the school system would sweep under the rug. But hey … they may still do just that. In a statement made by the school … Dr Jeremy Schmidt said a lot of contradictory things, while clearing up nothing. “We are maintaining a safe, structured learning environment (blah blah blah) …” —- make that make sense … how is it safe for a student when a teacher SHUTS THEM DOWN for having a different view or opinion than the teachers?! Is that considered part of their ‘structured learning environment’?! No one ever asked the school to PUNISH their entire community of teachers … WeThePeople simply asked that the particular teacher in question be suspended or fired for not providing a safe and respectful environment for her students. As far as ‘truth-seeking’ … she is on video, those are her words and actions … you can’t get anymore truthful than that. So don’t call our eyes or ears deceitful. Without those of us on social media bringing situations like this to the forefront … our schools will continue to get away with indoctrination and we parents are sick of it. All we ask is that our kids be taught: reading, writing, math, real science (not the ‘because I feel’ science), real history (not revisionist history to fit a narrative), civics and respect for our country. Leave activism, teacher’s opinions, teacher’s private life choices OUT OF OUR SCHOOLS. Even professors, from the mostly leftist universities, are beginning to complain that students entering college now can’t even read or have a basic understanding of things. THAT is the failure of our current education system and their activist staff!
