All this incredible chemical engineering at cellular level has massive implications, not for life on Earth but more for space travel. Long distance and multi-year life away from Earth requires specializing humans to function normally in many different environments, potentially decades. I have come to realize that immediate application of all cellular level chemistry, modifying atomic structure at gene level is massive to help humanity go to Mars and beyond and survive not for few decades but 100s of years. This outlook has changed my view completely on all the science and consumer products related to personal hygiene and health.
