Growing up in a harsh enviroment like somalia rural makes a child harder and mature because most of the time he is left alone or subjected to labour early to help in family chores unlike those in US pampared and being spoonfed till maturity. Basically enviroment,hardship and early exposure : no magics for research there. I started harding goats at the age of 5 years and by the time i joined school at 7yrs i was already very mature and hardened.

The real reason is freedom. Children in Africa have the freedom to ask and wonder because they are considered “in a safe muslim country” while diaspora are kept at home and restrained from going outside his culture, where his own people live miles away. Its not a comparison.
