MSM is desperately trying to convey calm about CUSMA going into annual reviews. There are 3 key truths they aren't reporting: 1⃣ The 232 tariffs remain on steel, aluminum & forestry. Carney has given these sectors >$11 billion to keep them alive & they are still bleeding jobs (Algoma laid off 1,000). The 🇺🇸 has major investments in steel & aluminum. 2⃣ The auto manufacturers in 🇨🇦 are investing $40 billion in new plants in the 🇺🇸. It's just a matter of time before more jobs move there. 3⃣ The uncertainty this causes is deadly for business investment in 🇨🇦. ⏰Trump is waiting us out. The rhetoric is now "a deal by the midterms or next year." Carney is playing right into his hands. We are being slowly crushed. Marc Nixon Moose on the Loose

🎉 Carney CAVES to Trump on the 50% tariffs. GOOD. VICTORY!! ⤵️ The CAVING versus the HOT AIR. 🍷 He’s removing the booze bans, auto counter tariffs & opening up supply mgmt to avoid the threatened 50% tariffs & lowering the section 232 tariffs. 🙄 After already caving on the retaliatory tariffs, digital services/streaming taxes & the Gordie Howe bridge. 📅 This should have been done last year. 🏭 All the damage to our industries. All the lost jobs. 💰 The $12B of debt keeping sectors alive. All could have been avoided. 🇨🇦 Carney, Ford, Eby were never going to win a trade war with the 🇺🇸. 🫵 Everyone who supported Carney’s strategy, this is on YOU. Thx cbcwatcher

🚨 TRUMP LANDS IN MICHIGAN TO TOUT AUTO JOBS AND BACK REPUBLICANS President Trump just touched down in Milford, Michigan at GM’s proving grounds for a vehicle demonstration and major remarks on manufacturing. GM is investing billions to expand in the state. Trump is there to claim credit for the resurgence, pointing to tariffs and tax cuts he says have protected tens of thousands of Michigan jobs. He’s also stumping for key Republicans: Senate candidate Mike Rogers Gubernatorial candidate John James The Michigan primary is days away. Trump is making it clear he wants the state to stay red, and the auto industry to keep growing.

Scott Reid on Trump easing some 232 tariffs: "The move to lower these tariffs is a clear concession, a clear admission on the part of the president, that he is under withering domestic political pressure, that he needed to do this because it will save jobs and lower prices in the US."

Tariffs 101: Tariffs are not paid by countries. Canada does not pay them to the US. Likewise, the US does not pay them to Canada. The importer from that country imposing the tariffs, pays it. For example, if Trump imposes 50% tariffs on trucks made by GM, but GM made them in Canada. GM is paying $50K in tariffs. Not Canada. And that $50K extra in tariffs, is ultimately paid by the consumer. Ultimately, it's a tax paid by businesses, passed down to the consumer of the country that imposed the tariffs. Likewise, Canada imposing tariffs on the US, only hurts Canadian customers. Countertariffs are done strategically, to prevent the flight of manufacturing, from Canada, to the US. In the end, during trade wars like this, consumers always end up paying the price.

This is the REALITY of what 1000's of Canadian small businesses are facing. The “Best Adirondack Chair Company” of Kemptville, ON has no choice but to open up a plant in the US due to the new s338 50% tariffs. They were approached by Select USA, a Department of Commerce organization who facilitate business investment in the US. They asked if other Canadian businesses had come knocking on Select’s door. “You have no idea (how many).” Support from the Canadian government? “None, it’s tailored for big companies.” KPMG report – 42% of Canadian businesses are planning to move to the US. This all could have been over 2 weeks ago but the Liberals put political power over country.

KPMG's report on 🇨🇦 companies moving to the 🇺🇸 to avoid tariffs is worse than the headlines. 1⃣ 42% have already moved or are planning to. 2⃣ 57% have paused or cancelled investment in their business. 3⃣ 61% can't survive without 🇺🇸 access. 4⃣ 11% of manufacturers already planning to move their HQ to the 🇺🇸. 🇲🇽 Mexico starts a third round of detailed USMCA negotiations next week. 🇨🇦 has announced none. 📉 A massive Carney failure that gets worse with each passing week. We are being slowly crushed.

The Wall Street Journal Editorial Board tears apart Trump’s tariffs in a blistering editorial: “The President is right that his tariffs are at work—in destroying U.S. jobs and raising prices. The U.S. has lost some 75,000 manufacturing jobs since January 2025, including 25,900 in motor vehicle and parts production... there’s no question his tariffs are raising costs for U.S. manufacturers.…Mr. Trump and his advisers claim that foreigners pay his border taxes, but the evidence shows that U.S. companies, workers and consumers are picking up most of the tab. The Anderson Economic Group estimates that auto tariffs on Canada and Mexico alone added about $1,600 to the cost of each car made in the U.S. last year. While auto makers absorbed some of the Trump tariff costs, they also passed on a large share to customers…Call it the Trump tax.”

Trump insulted Mexico. Slapped tariffs on them just like on 🇨🇦. Mexico studied 🇨🇦 reaction. Instead of elbows up, they were pragmatic & took a different approach.⤵️ The result? A bilateral agreement is in the works. They had two formal in-person negotiation meetings this month, another is scheduled in July. 🇨🇦 has had none since last year. We will pay a heavy price for the path not taken. Clip sources: The Elevate Report

Carney is getting absolutely played, AS USUAL by non other than TRUMP! While Mexico is already deep into formal trade talks with Trump on autos, steel, agriculture and security, Carney is still doing the “we’re open to conversations” dance. The guy in this video nails it. Carney’s apparent strategy? Drag this out. Wait for midterms. Hope Republicans lose the House and Senate so Trump is forced to give Canada a softer deal later. Problem is… Trump knows the game. He’s not waiting until November or January. He’s going to drain the clock, keep the pressure on with tariffs, and force a deal on his terms — probably by September. Then Trump walks away with the big win he desperately needs heading into midterms, while Carney hands him the photo op and the headline. Ontario is already getting crushed. The rest of Canada will feel it next. This is what happens when you elect a globalist banker who thinks he can out-wait Trump. We’re not at the table. We’re on the menu. #cdnpoli #CUSMA #CarneyFail #TradeDeal

Trump refused to say he would drop the 17% tariffs on Israeli goods, because we already “give them four billion dollars a year”. Trump said they are negotiating an entire new trade deal, and that tariffs are still on the table. The narrative that Trump is owned by Netanyahu, is about to go up in flames, and all those who peddled this nonsense will go down with it.

🇨🇦⛔️🇺🇸 : Mark Carney is asked if he is upset with Doug Ford releasing an ad which Donald Trump used as the excuse to impose 10% tariffs on Canadians, right before the holiday season. Mark gives an ultra weak response and never mentions Doug Ford. We need a no confidence vote & an election. Mark should have said that it's unacceptable for any POTUS to impose tariffs across the board on Canadians because of the actions or comments of any Premier.

#WATCH | Washington, US: South Asia analyst Michael Kugelman says, "I think the US's biggest concern about BRICS, or should I say the Trump administration's biggest concern about BRICS, is the fear that it could try to undercut or weaken the US dollar in the global economy... When it comes to the references in the declaration to sanctions and tariffs, without mentioning the US, I don't think that this is something that's going to provoke the administration in a really big way. Clearly, the Trump administration has a bias against BRICS, which is not a surprise... We could talk about the major principles and causes that BRICS has sought to take up in recent years... The issue of opposing sanctions has also been on that list. This is not a new thing for there to be condemnations of sanctions and tariffs..."

FINALLY! The unlawful tariffs have been struck down by the Supreme Court! This is great news for Texas and the country! Tackling the affordability crisis has been my top priority and repealing tariffs is the first step in lowering costs across the board. Last month, I laid out the case to impeach Trump over the tariffs 👇🏾

Trump is already planning for 2028. He’s building a successor without naming one right now. Marco Rubio is handling the global situation while JD Vance is exposing the fraud here in the Republic. Trump has given each of them their respective lane to succeed or fail on their own.
