This was part of Skip Holtz's eulogy to his father Lou Holtz. Skip said that when people came to visit his father in hospice, the very first thing Lou asked them was, “What can I do for you?” That's so powerful. Powerful enough for me to want to be a better person. God knew what he was doing when he made "Sunshine" that was Lou's nickname growing up. My heart hurts so much for so many reasons. Selfishly because Lou was the last man to win a National Championship at Notre Dame. Unselfishly because he meant SO much to SO many people. Not one seat in the Basiclica was vacant. There were people standing for an entire hour on the side of the pews. Plus so much more. I hope, truly, to become even half the man Lou Holtz was. A man whose first question was always, “What can I do for you?” A man whose light never dimmed, even in his final days. A man whose legacy will outlive all of us.

I was so sad to hear about Eric Dane's passing after he battled ALS and am sending my love to his family, especially his two daughters Billie and Georgia. I loved seeing this clip of us together on Saved By The Bell at a time when we were so young, I was about to turn 21 and he was 19. If you want to support efforts towards finding a cure for ALS, please follow I AM ALS.

I went to a memorial for Brian Wilson today, One of the biggest thrills of my life was when he agreed to record multiple parts on my version of California Girls, and he brought the wonderful Jeffrey Foskett along to sing on the record too. I'll never forget how generous he was with his precious time and unmatched talent. Brian truly was a genius and I was his grateful friend. I love you, Brian. Forever and ever.

some reflections from wonbin during recent fansigns... lately, he’s been so vulnerable about his growth and journey since debut. it’s heart-wrenching yet so meaningful to see him open up about his worries like this. during the fansign yesterday, he asked, “what i want to say might sound boring, but since you’ve seen me for a long time, what do you think of me now? am i different? have i changed?” he was clearly looking for reassurance from a fan who has been there since day one. he brought it up again during today’s fansign. he mentioned that while there are many new briize, he was specifically curious about the thoughts of the fans who have been watching him since debut. it’s clear how much he values the perspective of those who’ve witnessed his growth. wonbin… if the path you were taking was wrong, i wouldn’t love you this much, so please don't worry! seeing him so introspective only proves how much he cares about his sincerity. he hasn’t changed, he just continues to grow into the person we were always so proud to support 🩷
