Please please please, if race-based VRA case get overturned, go to court to get Palmer v. Hobbs (WA) overturned. This was the most outrageous decision every handed down. A Latina state senator (Torres) couldn't possible be the Hispanic choice b/c "Party labels help identify candidates that favor a certain bundle of policy prescriptions and choices, and the Democratic platform is apparently better aligned with the economic and social preferences of Latinos in the Yakima Valley region than is the Republican platform" Torres was drawn out of her district and will be out of the state senate next year if this outrage is not overturned.
