Stop selling mulligans .. Simple as that .. I know it's charity and people buy "free shots" and that's how money is made .. But just make the entrance fee a lil higher to cover the mulligans and play an honest scramble

Played in one where you have 8 people per hole, two 4 man teams. Take an hour or so longer but eliminates cheating.

or have marshals by the green on most holes. You can see tee shots, approach shot, and putts and keep track of groups scores. Soon as a team lies about a score on a hole they’re DQ’d

My son’s foundation has a tournament and we changed it to two-person teams with chapman style. What we found is that the two opposing teams within the foursome keep each other in check. The last scramble I was in they gave the winners nothing. Hilarious!

Also the head pro doesn’t post a single score until they receive all score cards

This must be an American phenomenon.

You are going to have to play 2 foursomes per hole, to make sure they each don’t cheat. Slower but makes cheating harder.

If the event is worth its salt that’s why you put 8 on each hole and let the other group keep the scores.

What kind of scum bags do you play with? I asked my pro just now, and he said the lowest score in a tournament this year was 56 (-16).. 44 😂
