Screen on the back of your pistol?

No. The battery has to be tiny which means constant recharging. Why add this step to my life when I can easily count down from 15?

This is a fast track to smart guns with fingerprint sensors

If it doesn't shoot a laser, it doesn't need a battery.

Is it me or are firearms getting more and more flimsy? I miss the old days

I'm so conflicted about this. Cool, but if you train on it and depend on it and it fails in a gunfight.... I have the same conflicts about a red dot sight.

When I saw this back in the Dark Ages of the Original Halo Game, I thought that was cool. Now, I think that's the dumbest thing I have ever seen. If you don't know you have exhausted your ammo, when the slide locks back (yes, I know there are times the slide won't lock back), then you have bigger problems. A little screen on the back of your slide is not going to help you. In fact, it's a liability to you. You are going to be more focused on the back of your slide than the threat in front of you.

Imagine having to stop an intruder, but your battery needs a charge...

Ahh yes... I suspect the term Analog Pistol is about to become a thing. In all seriousness tho, as long as its not critical to function, let kids have their blinking lights.

Nope. 👎

No. This opens the door for a potential future where the elites can remotely disable your firing pin.
