I swear city council members are literally the lowest bottom feeding scum on the planet. Straight piece of shit,narcissistic,worthless, authoritarian wannabe little dictators. These fuckin corrupt vindictive are the biggest drain on society. Rules for thee. All these POS do is fuck over the citizens while acting like kings. They just take more money from us and waste it on their bulshit and funnel to their friends and in their pockets. They act like their above the law and can do anything they want since their so high and mighty. They literally try and control speech only let them talk for a couple min. They tell people what they’re allowed to say and if they don’t like it they just shit it down on walk right out of they have citizens arrested. Straight parasites who treat citizens like 2nd class peasant criminals that only get the rights they say we do as they treat the citizens like shit 🖕

The arrogance of these people is shocking. The attitude of many politicians these days is that the role of the public is to pay taxes and that's it. They couldn't care less about our opinions regarding public policies.

Note the positioning of where the city council sits relative to the citizen. It is above them. Like judges that are judging the speaker not as equals that are there to serve their communities and to respond to the citizen's concerns. I think the venue should be restructured to be more like an amphitheater that looks down on the city council and not up. I believe this would force them to, at least, pay attention because their activities would be seen by all. Then once they changed their disrespectful behavior, we might consider putting them on an equal plane.

@dhatfield This happened to me at a town hall meeting. Lizzy Fletcher (D) talked and talked and talked. No mobile microphone. Questions were pre-screened and only certain ones were allowed to approach the fixed microphone. A waste of time.

This is several years old, but yes still bad. Most of those people are no longer on the council.
