Through our model camps across two blocks, 22 citizens who had been living in darkness due to cataracts were referred for surgery at Kalyani Eye Hospital in Nimtouri and have now regained their sight. Watching them return home with renewed confidence and independence is a reminder that public service, at its best, is measured in restored lives. #Udhampur: Must compliment Lt Gen Pratik Sharma GoC Northern Command and the entire staff for illustriously facilitating a 3-day Mega Cataract Camp at our request and bringing quality eye-care services to all including the civilians. Thanks Major Gen Sanjay Sharma, Head of the Medical Wing, for organising this camp for the benefit of the local population. Special thanks to Brig Mishra and the Ophthalmology team from R&R Hospital Delhi for transporting and setting up advanced medical equipment including the rare 3D microscope for precision eye surgery at the Udhampur Mega Cataract Camp. Beneficiaries from far-flung and peripheral areas expressed deep appreciation for the state of the art healthcare services provided at the camp, free of cost.
