In New England, less than 3% of energy came from wind, solar, & batteries combined...oil was the #1 source of electricity because they have a shortage of pipeline capacity to bring much lower-cost and much-cleaner natural gas into New England. Following last year’s Inauguration, at my first meeting with President Trump and his new National Energy Dominance Council, the President was crystal clear in his direction to us that he wanted the NESE pipeline approved and built immediately, and at Trump Speed. Now, thanks to his leadership, MILLIONS of downstate New Yorkers will have access to this affordable, reliable NATURAL GAS that for too long they were being denied.

What makes more sense? A 100-mile natural gas pipeline from Pennsylvania to Massachusetts that would immediately lower energy costs OR a massive wind farm 500 miles out in the Atlantic off the coast of Canada, plus a 700-mile transmission line through Maine and New Hampshire to deliver electricity that’s more expensive? Governor Healey is choosing the wind farm to appease climate activists. I’d choose the option that’s efficient, affordable, and actually helps Massachusetts families and businesses – the natural gas pipeline.
